ChemSocChemSoc provides a break from the academic pressures of Chemistry. We provide events to cater for all needs and aim to bring Chemists of all ages together in having a good time.

Staff Student liaison Committee (SSLC)The SSLC is made up of student representatives from each year group and four academic staff. The group meets as often as is necessary but at least once a term. The agenda is set by the student representatives who raise comments that they have collected from their year group about what has worked effectively and what issues could do with some attention.

Individual SupportStudents are provided with pastoral support throughout their studies by their personal academic tutor, a named year tutor for each part of their programme, and the senior tutor. Additional support is provided via enabling services and the University counselling service. We also run an undergraduate parenting scheme, wherein continuing students serve as a contact for those in their first year.
