HP® DevicesThe following HP devices are supported formonitoring and software upgrades. These devices are availablewithin the VisualRF product catalog and can be selected when setting up device-specific triggers and alerts. Inaddition, these devices can be set up as trap receivers, and the SNMP traps can be seen on the System > Syslog& Traps page.

InVisualRF, the utilization value for HP devices will be 0 because AirWavedoes not get utilization values forthesedevices.

Wired Ethernet SwitchesAny standalone Ethernet access switch that supports the standard SNMPMIB-II objects for wired switches canbemonitored by AirWave.

AirWavewill collect the uptime and name/location/contact information for switches (or any device that supportsSNMP). For port information, AirWave relies on the IF-MIB to collect byte counts.

MAC addresses are collected from the BRIDGEMIB and RFC1213 MIB (ARP table) in order to determine AP portassignments and identify possible rogue dvices on the network.

Aruba Mobility Access SwitchesThe Aruba series of Mobility Access Switches (S3500, S2500, and S1500) are supported for profile configuration, monitoring, and software upgrades.

In addition to the port statistics supported formost Ethernet switches with the supported firmware describedbelow, AirWave also tracks the activity of authenticated wired clients on Aruba switches.
