This position is located in St. Charles, IL and reports to the Operations Director. Responsibilities Manages the departments that make up the supply chain organization (production planning, customer support, logistics, and warehousing). Ensures that these departments work together in an effective system that controls the flow of materials. Creates short- and long-term objectives that support the strategic direction of the Company. Establishes and monitors key metrics on the performance of the supply chain system, creates countermeasures, and makes improvements to avoid repeated performance issues. Expands the use and understanding of the Company’s MRP system/reports within the organization for optimal planning, production, and use as a management tool. Interacts with other functional groups (production, quality, sales, finance, human resources, and design/development) to meet current/future requirements and to improve processes that require interdepartmental cooperation. Supports supply chain departments and employees in resolving issues, while maintaining their responsibility and accountability. Evaluates the employees that make up the supply chain organization, identifies development needs, and promotes the growth of all individuals in the group. Performs succession planning reviews to identify bench strength issues and establish remediation plans. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field is required. Minimum of five to seven years of experience in supply chain management with progressively increasing responsibility and managerial experience. Prior work within the automotive industry is highly preferred.

Strong customer focus and the ability to build positive relationships with suppliers and customers.

Experience with MRP systems and their use in supply chain activities.

Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well with others. Ability to deal with a variety of changing situations

Ability to analyze complex problems and review related information in order to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Familiarity with quality/continuous improvement concepts and their application to supply chain management.

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
