Programme Description and Objectives

To equip managers and practitioners with the concept and practices of SCM which will help them deliver corporate success

through a more efficient coordination with their suppliers, and customers. The program has been designed to suit the

requirements of m anagers involved in SCM operational activities li ke procurement, production planning, logis tics planning and

sales & distribution planning, and strategic activities like vendor selection and management, SCM network optimization, andproduct/process re-design for SCM. The role of logistics and supply chain managers is progressively shifting from supply

focused to demand focused owing to the increasing competitiveness of the business environment. This unique program has

been des igned by experts at IIM Calcutta to enable these managers to be adequately skilled to rise up to the expectations of thei

firms. Further to enable supply chain practitioners comprehend and leverage the business environment as well as equip them

with skills to assume greater responsibilities cross-functionally, the program includes topics on fundamental aspects o

management theory.

Who Should attend

Working professionals with at least 3 years in a supply chain management role (purchasing, production, inventory, control

logistics, demand management, design, distribution or any related functional areas of supply chain) will find the programme

both challenging and s timulating. Minimum eligibility criteria is undergraduate (10+2+3 or equivalent) in any discipline with 55%

Eligibility

Graduates (10+2+3 or equivalent)/Post Graduates in any discipline with 55% marks, who would like to further their career in

Logistics and Supply Chain Management would be eligible for this program. Working experience of at leas t 3 years in a supply

chain management role is required. Students would be selected on the basi s of their performance in the Program Aptitude Tes

to be conducted by NIIT Imperia, together with assessment of background and motivation based on the application form

submitted.
