RESOURCE DEPARTMENT
Leather is sourced from Delhi {karol bagh}, Kolkata, Chennai, Jalandhar
Sourcing is done on the basis of three things: price, quality, and delivery
They use to keep the records and according to the BOM they use to work.
The quality check for the material takes place at the resource department.
The vendors to supply the particular requirement, whoever quote the best price and expected quality, the order is given to particular vendor
Designs are developed based on the mood board and other specification from the buyers
Designs sent to buyers and samples of approved designs are developed in the sampling department.
Meeting held in the company or in the buying house. Sample approved Samples approved with some changes Purchase order is raised Sample sent again for the approval Bill of material is raised Cost is calculated , Buyers approval sought Resource query is raised for the procurement of materials required. There is just one designer in the company
Designer use to work according to the buyers
She helps in when there is an issue regarding the costing or the design.
Designer gets the samples to be done.
A swatch card is attached by the designer so as to make sure that the worker does no mistake.
Design department
There are 4 merchandiser and 1 senior merchandiser for the bags division.
Each merchandiser is allotted buyers according to countries
BOM and costing is also a merchant responsibility.
If the buyer has some problem with the costing, the merchant rework on the costing by adjusting the usage of the material such as leather and trims.

Flat bed machines - 4 Cylinder machines - 6 Pattern masters –2 Fitters - There are 5 fitters
and 3 helpers in sample department, fitters skive leather panels
Cutters - 1 Machine men - 4 The work of sample
department is to prepare sample according to the buyer’s requirement
SAMPLING DEPARTMENT
Production department has two floors
There are 16 tables on each floor for the pasting and hammering
Minimum of 10 stitching machines
All the edge colors is carried under the supervision of supervisor
