A dash of chic, an air of sophistication and a splash of color make Sunset Point as stunning as it is unforgettable. Three designer finishes, sweeping scale and soft organic cathedral white oak veneers come together in a casual cottage waterside furniture collection that is equally at home for lakeside or seaside. Vintage and traditional design elements give a luxurious but livable resort feel to this 35-piece collection of bedroom, dining, home entertainment, office, occasional and accent furniture. Soft shaping, serpentine cases, planked table tops and a raised lattice motif accenting the pieces are equally sophisticated and charming.Three designer finishes include Hatteras White, a soft wire-brushed light alabaster finish with a natural-colored undertone; St. John’s blue, a robin’s egg-blue chipped crackle finish with rub-through and Sea Oat, a soft light brown finish with a natural wood look and a slight white hang-up effect.

Quality from start to finishOf all the aspects of wood furniture, the finish most visibly reflects its character, quality and style. While the finish is one of the last things we do, it’s the first thing you see. That’s why at Hooker, we utilize a multiple-step finish process of up to 16 finish steps. This results in an unsurpassed clarity, depth and color richness and durability to our finishes. Through hand-craftsmanship such as rubbing and padding, our finishes “feel” as good as they look, with a smoothness that is delightful to the touch.

Many of our furniture items are constructed of hardwood solids and veneers or hand-painted finishes over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture. Due to a wide variety of wood species and decorative designs used in our furniture styles, variations in construction are possible.

DesignSignature design motifs in Sunset Point include lattice on the panel bed and the chic dining chairs; delicate, interlocking geometrics on chair backs and case fronts and vintage spool legs and posts on tables and accents.

• Full height, full depth and full width drawers for maximum storage capacity.• All drawers have strong, time-tested English or French dovetail construction, for years of problem-free use.• Plywood drawer bottoms are attached to plywood drawer sides for strength and durability.• Our top-of-the-line bedroom collections include bottom drawers on major case pieces that are cedar-lined for the aromatic benefit and preservation of clothing.• Some night stands offer receptacles on the back of case.

Three designer finishes include Hatteras White, a soft wire-brushed light alabaster finish; St. John’s blue, a robin’s egg-blue chipped crackle finish with rub-through and Sea Oat, a soft light brown with a natural wood look. Two striking tables include a rectangle in two-tone Sea Oat and Hatteras White finishes with two 18” leaves, and a two-tone round table with an oversized spool pedestal and 18-inch leaf. Mix in a chic display cabinet in St. John’s Blue or Hatteras White or a credenza in Hatteras White or two-tone St. John’s Blue and Hatteras White. Add the final touch with a subtle blue lattice chair, or a soft upholstered chair with oval back with a raised lattice motif.
