SELFACCEPTANCE
“The courage to be is the courage to accept oneself ,inspite of being unacceptable”
- Paul Tillic
The importance of selfacceptance is well understood from the above words. If you donot accept yourself you will face many problems in your life.Unless you accept yourself you completely fails to enjoy your life. The meaning of self acceptance is to accept our shortcoming as well as our accomplishment .We all have faults and successful moments in our life.Getting through life happily and peacefully requires us to understand ourself well .According to Shepard (1979), self-acceptance is an individual's satisfaction or happiness with oneself, and is thought to be necessary for good mental health. Self-acceptance involves self-understanding, a realistic, albeit subjective, awareness of one's strengths and weaknesses.
The most important tool one can use to achieve success is self acceptance. What self acceptance does is it open up more possibilities of succeeding because you are not fighting yourself along the way.Selfacceptance at its core is being happy with who you are in the present moment and loving yourself who you are right now.
