177 Project Wednesday, November 13, 2019

The 177 Project will be visiting Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish. The 177 Project is a nationwide

tour designed to help bring more people into Eucharistic Adoration. The night begins with an

acoustic concert before moving into a Holy Hour. Confession will be available. The evening begins at 7:00pm and no tickets are necessary. The event is

free to attend. A love offering will be taken. Lee Roessler will be the artist traveling for this event.

The ofrenda is often the most recognized symbol of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). This temporary altar is a way for us to honor and remember our loved ones who have died. You are invited to place a photo of your

deceased loved ones on the ofrenda

during the month of November.

Photos in stand-up frames are

preferred.

What is a Quinceañera? The Quinceañera is a social, cultural and religious celebration of a young woman’s 15th birthday. It holds a profound religious and spiritual meaning when the Quinceañera recognizes the Christian values and the challenges these values place upon her. The celebration of a Quinceañera is not a sacrament, and is in no way a substitute for the sacrament of Confirmation. The focus of the Quinceañera blessing ritual is threefold: 1. Thanksgiving for the gift of life; 2. Commitment to life, faith, and Catholic values; 3. Prayer and participation in the Catholic Church. The Quinceañera celebration is an opportunity to affirm the cultural identity and faith expression of young women in our community.

¿Que es una Quinceañera? La quinceañera es una celebración social, cultural y religiosa del 15 cumpleaños de una joven. Tiene un profundo significado religioso y espiritual cuando la Quinceañera reconoce los valores cristianos y los desafíos que estos valores le plantean.
