The Puppets & Players Little TheaterSponsored by PBS SoCal Hans Christian Andersen appears and
narrates his immortal fairy tale of the little girl no bigger than your thumb. Beautifully illustrated pages of a story-book turn to reveal a variety of magical settings as Thumbelina journeys through the seasons in search of her dream.
As this tale unfolds, Thumbelina meets some of Andersen's enduring characters, including the Ugly Toad, Miss Mouse, Mr. Mole, and the Swallow, a kind-hearted bird who represents the author himself.
This famous family story features marionettes and hand puppets, classic songs, and live performances by Laurie Branham, as the woman who longs for a child, and Gil Olin, as the legendary author Hans Christian Andersen.

Mrs. P likes to read, write, travel, run, jump, play, lie in the grass while looking at the clouds, swim, sing, knit, yodel, collect rocks and occasionally warble like a bird.
She travels around the world - going to exciting places like Paris, Beijing, Transylvania, London and Belarus. When not traveling, Mrs. P is reading any book that’s not nailed down and some that are.
In her spare time, Mrs. P makes up fun stories to tell her family, friends and her 307 beloved pets.

After 20 years as a corporate event planner, Jeanna Young was called by God to develop the Princess Parable series. She never dreamed she would be a children’s author and she questioned God’s choice in her - for this huge task.
God showed her the need for princess role models with character and depth while reading to her own princesses. Living so close to Disneyland, she desired a Disney-style Christian princess role model for her girls.
Jeanna has shared her heart and passion for motherhood and parenting with other moms. She is also actively speaking to a number of MOPS groups (a grassroots movement that believes moms are world influencers), Women's Teas and Bible Studies.
