Thursday, September 12th Fall Bible Study begins, entitled 12 Women of the Bible: Life Changing Stories for Women Today. It features 12 popular authors sharing inspirational lessons from 12 women of the Bible, and their implications in our Christian lives today. We invite you to join us for 12 sessions in the Fellowship Hall at 9:30—11:30. Childcare is available.
Adult Bible Study will begin September 12th. Classes will be held from 6pm to 7:15pm in the Fellowship Hall. Refreshments will be served between 5:30 and 6. Head our way after work, grab a bite, settle in and learn something new about God and His desire for your life. We’ve planned a truly dynamic year as we prepare to study two of the
greatest prophets of the Bible: Isaiah and John. We are beginning our study with the book of Isaiah, sometimes called the fifth gospel. Our study is au-thored by Harvard professor, Sandra Richter, PhD, a brilliant writer and teacher.
Will not meet today, but will meet
Sept. 8th and 15th at 5:30 in
the Fellowship Hall.. Nursery provided.
“Putting God First”
Bring a potluck dish and enjoy a fun evening defining your legacy!
Wednesday workday will not meet this
week. Please join us on Wednesday,
September 10th at 8:00. Let’s brighten our
church grounds!
The THRIFT STORE is one of our most important outreach programs. BUT, the THRIFT STORE needs volunteers (men and women). If you have a few hours a week please consider coming out on Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturday mornings. They need help sorting donations, hanging clothes, pricing items. They particularly need some strong persons who can lift and
carry. So, if you can stay an hour, or several, just come and tell us you want to help! We all work together for God’s good!
The woods would be very silent if only those birds sang who sang best!
MUSIC REHEARSALS BEGIN The music ensembles for our 11:00
worship will begin regular rehearsals in September. New people who
love to sing or ring are always welcome! Contact David Golden at the
church office for more information.
The Chancel Choir rehearses every Tuesday at 4
pm in the sanctuary, and sings weekly in worship.
Our first rehearsal is September 3.
Our bell choir, the Keystone Ringers, rehearses
on Wednesdays at 7:45pm (after Wonderful
Wednesday programming), and shares in wor-
ship about once every other month. An ability to
read music at a basic level helps, but we can
train you. We will begin rehearsals on Wednes-
day, September 18.
CHURCH—WIDE PRAYER TIME. All ages
are invited to come as Joe Mai leads us in an in-
tentional time of prayer for our children and youth.
Beginning in October, this special prayer time will
be held at 5:15pm the 1st Wednesday of each
month in the MMC.
