Mike Hendrie (continued from page 1)seriously. Other players there shared with him
about the MSBL league available in his home-
town and in 1999 he became a player again. By
2000 he was going to the World Series, and hes
been attending ever since. Two years ago he
started up the 65s after winning the 58+ Ameri-
can Division. Last year his team lost in the cham-
pionship game and they are giving teams a battle
again this year. A 40 year Real Estate/Builder/
Developer in Michigan, Mike is still working
through this tough economic times, especially in
the hard-hit automotive community. Both his
sons live block from each other in Chicago so
visiting family can be accomplished in one trip.
Mike, Jr. (35) and Andrew (30) attended the
University of Michigan after earning MBAs,
now work in the business world. Janice is a re-tired 39 year high school Spanish teacher. Most
of the Detroit 65s live in the Detroit/Flint area,
but Mike enjoys a couple of his teammates from
Puerto Rico. In his 8th trip to the World Series,
Mike has been to the championship table to col-
lect 4 rings, in 58+ Central, 60+ National, and
65+ American. He also has attended the Fall
Classic, and now assists Steve Sigler and Gary
DAmbrisi in running the new MSBL Grapefruit
