CRAIG The Lion Man Busch hastold of his pride and joy in beingback with his big cats, at therenamed Kingdom of Zion wildlifepark.
Busch is this weekendcelebrating the official reopeningof the park, on the outskirts ofWhangarei.
Yesterday he invited SundayNews into the big cat reserve for aspecial behind-the-scenes tour.
In between mingling with well-wishers, he said: To be back hereis unreal . . . it took about a week toactually realise that I am home.
The minute I did get here, they[big cats] realised dad was home. They must have roared for abouttwo days.
It is like a lion orchestra . . . anorchestra that is absolutely beauti-ful.
In January, it was confirmedBusch who set upthepark in2002,handed control to his mother Pat-ricia Busch in 2006, and whoseemployment there ended two yearslater would return to Zion.
His return followed the parks

He is very protective of hisdad. He doesnt like other people too
close to me or any other lion. Andno matter where I am, myself andhim can feel each other.
The big cat parks name haschanged from Zion Wildlife Gar-dens to Kingdom of Zion during hisabsence.
I love the name Kingdom ofZion. It suitsthe parkand givesthatsort of Disney-kind of feel to the
park, Busch said. And if you lookat some of the cats, they are almostlike characters of Disney.
Itiswhat itmeans tome. . . itisa paradise for the cats and thepeople who come here.
Busch was committed to con-tinuing the big cats welfare, andadding some new features to thepark. It will be a park that will be
