ELIGIBILITY RULES FOR PARTICIPANTS

The competition is open to ALL skaters who are current and eligible (ER 1.00) members of either the Basic Skills Program at East West Ice Palace and/or Center Ice Arena, and are full members of U.S. Figure Skating. To be eligible, skaters must have submitted a membership application or be a member in good standing. Eligibility will be based on skill level as of closing date and entries. ALL SNOWPLOW SAM AND BASIC SKILL SKATERS THROUGH BASIC 8 must skate at highest level passed or one higher and NO official U.S. Figure Skating tests may have been passed including MIF or individual dances. For the Free Skate 1-6, Test Track and Well Balanced levels, eligibility will be based only upon highest free skate test level passed (Moves in the Field test level will not determine skater’s competitive level). Skaters may skate at highest level passed OR one level higher but not both levels in the same event during the same competition. ENTRIES AND FEES All entries must be completed online at http://californiawavehockey.com (click on the competition button) no later than February 21, 2020. Late entries will be accepted only if the limit has not been reached, at the discretion of the organizers. Entry fees are per person, U.S. dollars. The first event is $60 and each additional event is $30. NO refunds after closing date unless event is cancelled by East West Ice Palace or Center Ice. Registration for the competition shall be completed online, with full payment. AWARDS Everyone will receive an award or medal. All events will be final rounds. All awards will be made at appropriate times throughout the competition. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS Schedules will be posted at each rink on March 1, 2020. MUSIC The music for all free skating programs and showcase must be provided on CD’s by the skater. CD’s should be clearly marked with the name of the skater, event entered and length of music. Competition music is to be turned into the EWIP Box Office by February 29, 2020. Time duration is always +/- 10 seconds. VIDEOGRAPHY/PHOTOGRAPHY Professional photography will be provided but not videography. Parents may bring their own cameras and video equipment but must stay in the area by the benches – there is no access for parents in the player boxes, gym, or any point beyond the dressing rooms. CRITIQUE Critiques may be offered, if time permits after all competition entries are received and a schedule of the events created. If you are interested in a critique, please answer “yes” to the question regarding critiques during the online registration process. Critique payment will be accepted via the EWIP Box Office.
