PASCHAL KONTAKION – TONE EIGHT: You descended into the tomb, O Immortal; You destroyed the power of death. In victory You arose, O Christ God, proclaiming “Rejoice” to the myrrh-bearing women, granting peace to Your disciples, and bestowing resurrection on the fallen.

Our St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church is celebrating its 112th Slava today during the Divine Liturgy with a Festal Procession, cutting of the Kolach, blessing of the Koljevo, and honoring our Kumovi, Jake and Jody Atty, as well as our 2015 Graduates. There will be a fellowship lunch to follow the Liturgy in the hall.

MATINS/ORTHROS Beginning on Pentecost Sunday, May 31, we will begin serving the Matins/Orthros Service before the Divine Liturgy. Orthros will begin at 8:50AM, and the Divine Liturgy will still begin at 10:00AM. Readers for Matins can volunteer in the Church Office, or on the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board.

FESTAL SERVICES THIS WEEK This week, we will be celebrating the Leavetaking of Pascha, Holy Ascension, and the Feast of the Translation of the Relics of St. Nicholas (our Church Slava). The services are as follows:

BAPTISM NEXT SUDNAY The Baptism for Ava Mirjana Carricato, daughter of Guiliana Carricato will be held next Sunday, May 24th sung in conjunction with the Divine Liturgy. Social hour will be hosted by Ava's family and all are invited to attend and help us celebrate this joyous occasion.

MILITARY SERVICE HONOR ROLL We will be celebrating a Parastos for all departed service members that day on Sunday, May 24 after Liturgy. We will be blessing the Military Service Honor Roll from both St. Nicholas and Holy Annunciation as a part of this celebration, in honor and memory of all of those who have given their lives in service to this county.

MOTHERS' CLUB TRIP FOR REGISTERED SUNDAY SCHOOL CHILDREN The trip is going to be to Penn Caves and Wildlife Park in Centre, Pa., on June 22, 2015. Registered Sunday School Children will be paid for by the Mothers’ Club (bus trip, admission price for Cavern tour and Wildlife tour and Gem Mining). All children need to be accompanied by an adult. Chaperone expenses will be paid by them. Final costs will be forthcoming after we get a count of the number signing up. Please let Arlene Barber (564-5093) or Sue Petrovich (944-1258) know by May 31 if you and your child(ren) plan to attend this event.
