Master Class 2:30-4:00 Body percussion, instruments, movement $30 (Discount! Take Both Classes for $40!) Master percussionist David Pleasant presents Drumfolk: a participatory journey in the one of a kind Gullah-Geechee culture. Through performance and community interaction, Pleasant. a native of the region, uses body percussion, movement, vocalization, and instrumentation to deliver the peculiar cultural historical legacies of America's hidden, yet foremost African-inspired American traditions. David Pleasant’s work has fueled numerous celebrated projects and artists including: The Smithsonian Institution, Fulbright Senior Specialist Lectures, ABC News, Nickelodeon TV, STEPAFRIKA, Wynton Marsalis, TED, Audra McDonald, Sundance Institute, and many more.
