Sunday 2 June

Easter 7 The Bishop Pray for Bishop Michael that he may hold Christ always before him.

Kuwait: The Anglican Church in Kuwait, St Paul’s, has three - English, Urdu and Mandarin - congregations. There are three English worship services in a week and two of them are held at Ahmadi on Thursday, Fridays and Sundays. The Centre hosts nineteen other congregations.

Monday 3

We praise God for the warm relationship and support we receive from the Kuwait Oil Company in improving the state of our worship.

Tuesday 4

We rejoice in our Youth and Children’s Church who are dedicated and bring life to our congregation. It is a joy to witness increase in participation by lay people in various programs including the Discipleship and Ministry course as well as Bible Study.

Wednesday 5

We are hopeful that our parish will grow numerically when new people will come to Kuwait during the Summer.

Thursday 6

We seek God’s intervention for our depleting financial resources. This affects our activities, pragrammes and ultimately the budget.

Friday 7

Pray for our parishioners to remain positive, dependable and dedicated church members amid current challenges, which threaten the future of the parish.

Saturday 8

Heavenly Father, we are delighted to experience your love. Give us hope amid challenges we encounter as a parish. Inspire your people to explore with open hearts new ways of supporting your work in Kuwait. Continue to bless the goodwill we receive from stakeholders and bring more people to our fellowship. Amen.

Sunday 9 June

Pentecost Those being confirmed Pray for candidates of all ages that they may walk with Christ all the days of their life.

Limassol – St Barnabas: Limassol is the principal port of Cyprus and a vibrant cosmopolitan city. Pissouri is a village with significant tourism and many second homes. We have wealth and poverty around us and among us. British military bases are nearby. We serve British expats and other English speakers from a fascinating variety of nations, countries and cultures.

Monday 10

We praise God for our new parish vision to lead us forwards in mission: Glorify God, Open doors, Share faith, Proclaim Jesus, Encourage all, Love others. We pray for our priest Andrew Mayes, for his wider ministry as Diocesan Spirituality Adviser.

Tuesday 11

We celebrate the rich diversity of these churches, the gifts of young and old, the spectrum of cultures, nationalities and traditions. We rejoice in our rich fellowship and social life, and in opportunities to learn together and deepen our spirituality.

Wednesday 12

We pray for openness to God and for alertness to needs around us. We pray for a renewal of our ministry and outreach to children, young people and families. We pray for the Missions to Seafarers based at Limassol port.

Thursday 13

We intercede for all who struggle in this city and its environs, including the homeless and refugee, the bereaved and lonely, the stressed and the seeking. We grieve for those leaving us, returning to UK etc… and pray for replacements!

Friday 14

Recalling that Acts 15:26 describes Barnabas as one who ‘risked his life for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ’, we pray for courage, steadfastness and imagination as we move forward under God.

Saturday 15

Father God, unlock the gifts you have placed within us, release fresh ministries and hidden talents, deepen our apostolic charism of bringing the encouragement of Jesus to all we meet, for the sake of your Kingdom. Amen.

Sunday 16 June

Trinity Sunday The Archdeacon in Cyprus Pray for his ministry, for the parishes of Cyprus, and for justice and peace across the island.

Abu Dhabi: St Andrew’s is a compound based in Abu Dhabi with a daughter Church in Al Ain, called St Thomas. We have recently celebrated our 50th anniversary. We seek to provide Christians of all traditions a safe and legal environment to worship.

Monday 17

Praise God for our vibrant Youth and children’s ministry, giving thanks for those who lead and encourage the Christian faith in our young people. Pray for those taking exams and for suitable revision conditions. Help them to remain calm, to attend carefully to the questions asked, to think clearly, to remember accurately and to express themselves well.

Tuesday 18

We rejoice that so many are willing to give of their time, talents, finances and prayers to the varying ministries happening in the life of St Andrew’s Church. We pray that people will use their spiritual gifts to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace.

Wednesday 19

We pray for the musical mission of Roger Jones coming to Abu Dhabi in November 2019. Praying for spiritual growth and the building of community and common life.

Thursday 20

For wisdom and discernment as we work towards completing the All Saints Mussafah Church project which will enable us to reach out and minister to those living and working in that particular area of our City. For growth in the prayer life of St Andrew’s to underpin these plans and to strengthen and grow our ministry within our expat community.

Friday 21

God the Father, bless us. God the Son, protect us. God the Spirit, guide us and give us vision, courage and unity.

Saturday 22

Gracious and Holy God, give us the wisdom to discover You, the intelligence to understand You, the diligence to seek after You, the patience to wait for You, eyes to behold You, a heart to meditate upon You, and a life to proclaim You; through the power of the Spirit of Jesus, our Lord. Amen. (St Benedict)

Sunday 23 June

Trinity 1 The Archdeacon in the Gulf Pray for his ministry, for the nations of the archdeaconry, and for all who live in them, citizens and others.

Al Ain: St Thomas Church is supported by St Andrew's, Abu Dhabi. We currently worship at a golf club, but have been gifted land by the ruling family to build on. We are from many backgrounds and nations, but we are united in our desire to see Christ lifted up amongst us and to help more people experience the joy of knowing Jesus.

Monday 24

St Thomas has a friendly atmosphere. After the services, people share fellowship and are usually not in a rush to go home. We are especially blessed with a varied and gifted music group who lead the congregation in musical worship each week.

Tuesday 25

We are thankful that we have been able to worship in the Golf Club for the last 8 years, but are excited at the prospect of worshipping in our own building soon. We have a growing ministry towards the low paid migrant workers in Al Ain.

Wednesday 26

St Thomas is progressing with its building project. The next few months should see the project move towards the construction phase. We pray for continued blessings on this project.

Thursday 27

Our congregation is made up mostly of teachers and health professionals. Long working hours can mean that people become inconsistent in church attendance. Pray that the services may always be a place of spiritual refreshment, so that people do therefore make it a priority to attend.

Friday 28

As we move forward with our New Build we are keen to ensure that we retain all that is good with St Thomas and that we continue to be a nurturing, friendly, welcoming church, where people of all ages find a spiritual home and experience the love of God.

Saturday 29

Council: May they be given wisdom to lead the church forward. Community: May we experience the joy and peace of knowing Jesus amongst us. Church Building: May the project move forward smoothly, and may we never lose sight of the fact that church is people, not a building, and that we are here to glorify God and be the hands and feet of Jesus in the local community and beyond.

We praise God for the work among the peoples of Nicosia and this Cathedral. May we continue to be strengthened as we seek to bring Godly values to all people in this place.

Friday 5

May we, at all times, remain focused on and committed to doing the will of God in this place and among his people.

Our congregation is very varied and consists of: expatriates from several countries; seasonal ‘swallow’ visitors; holidaymakers; plus a core of loyal local people. Friday 23

The key challenge for St Helena’s is to make ourselves and our services much more widely known throughout the Larnaca area, to bring God to more people and to bring more people to God through our Anglican worship.

Saturday 24

Dear Father, St Helena’s Church has been blessed with so many gifts by you. Too often we are guilty of taking this for granted and for not giving you thanks. We ask, Lord, that you guide us to be better disciples to do your work throughout our parish.
