Encourage members to stay at home if they are symptomatic, have a fever, have been near persons with the virus, or have traveled abroad in the past two weeks. Maintain personal social distancing habits, stay 6 feet apart, no hugging or hand- shaking. Sanitize after each use shared resources such as restrooms, doorknobs, counters, etc. Designate separate entrances and exits. Avoid passing communion cups, trays, and collection plates. Some additional measures that we are evaluating are: Propping open all doors that will be used during services. Removing all Song Books, Bibles, Attendance Cards, and Ink Pens from pew racks. Water fountains to be disconnected and turned off. Close the Playground. Block off every other pew or row of chairs to help maintain 6-foot seating distance. Have the janitorial service come in and perform a sanitizing cleaning process following each service. We have already contacted them, and they can provide this service. Continue offering an online service for those, which due to being vulnerable, choose not to return immediately to services at the building. Utilize a staggered dismissal at the end of service to avoid bottlenecking at the exits. As you can see there is much that we have to consider, and we ask for your prayers that God will grant us clarity and wisdom in making these decisions. Our desire and goal are to be back together for worship, but we also want to do this in a safe and responsible manner realizing that as Christians we are to be putting the needs and welfare of others above our own. In the next couple of weeks we will be finalizing our protocols and plan for re-opening the building and we will share those with the congregation. For now we just wanted everyone to see how different our services will look as we deal with the effects of the virus. We appreciate everyone’s prayers, patience and understanding during these difficult times. “Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.” 3 John 1:2 Ernie, Keith, TJ, and Greg We will be at the building on Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 and on Sunday from 9:00 to 10:00 to pass out communion cups. Dear Family,

We have been reviewing the recently released Governor’s Guidelines of

Opening Houses of Worship, and also monitoring Rutherford County’s Health

Department statistics for new cases, hospitalizations and deaths from the virus. Below is

a summary list of the Governor’s recommendations that we are currently evaluating to

determine how best to implement these recommendations as we consider coming back

together to meet at the building.

Wear face coverings and maintain 6-foot distance.

Use a phased approach. Vulnerable persons and small children’s activities should be

phased in at a later date.

Limit attendance to 50% of the room’s capacity, and seat by households with 6 feet

between households.

Encourage members to stay at home if they are symptomatic, have a fever, have

been near persons with the virus, or have traveled abroad in the past two weeks.

Maintain personal social distancing habits, stay 6 feet apart, no hugging or hand-

shaking.

Sanitize after each use shared resources such as restrooms, doorknobs, counters, etc.

Designate separate entrances and exits.

Avoid passing communion cups, trays, and collection plates.

Some additional measures that we are evaluating are:

Propping open all doors that will be used during services.

Removing all Song Books, Bibles, Attendance Cards, and Ink Pens from pew racks.

Water fountains to be disconnected and turned off.

Close the Playground.

Block off every other pew or row of chairs to help maintain 6-foot seating distance.

Have the janitorial service come in and perform a sanitizing cleaning process

following each service. We have already contacted them, and they can provide this

service.

Continue offering an online service for those, which due to being vulnerable, choose

not to return immediately to services at the building.

As you can see there is much that we have to consider, and we ask for your prayers

that God will grant us clarity and wisdom in making these decisions. Our desire and goal

are to be back together for worship, but we also want to do this in a safe and responsible

Double Up Fifth Sunday Contribution

We continue to be blessed by your generosity and diligence about sending in your contribution during the uncertain and challenging times. As a reminder, Sunday May 31

st will be the second 5

th Sunday of 2020. Our

Operational Budget is based on 48 weeks per year, allowing us to use 5

th Sunday contributions specifically for

Missions, Youth, Benevolence, Member Enrichment and Special Events. Our goal for each 5

th Sunday is 2 times our

regular weekly budget or $12,334. The money collected on Sunday May 31

st will complete the funding of our

Benevolence budget and begin funding our Mission efforts. With our Benevolence Program we will continue to show the love of Jesus to our neighbors and the community. We are excited about the mission opportunities that God has blessed us with and look forward to being more involved in expanding the borders of His Kingdom. As each of us considers what we can give, let us be in prayer and ask for God’s continued Blessings on us and our efforts here at Lascassas.

“Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.” 3 John 1:2 Ernie, Keith, TJ, and Greg
