Sunburst Corner Card by Kate Morgan This technique may look complicated but is pretty simple and there are several ways you can use it on a card. Just Google either starburst or sunburst card and you'll see what I mean. For my card I started with four 1½" x 6". Each one of those strip was cut at a diagonal from corner to corner. You will also need a base for assembling. I cut mine a little smaller than A5 size because I knew I was going to matt it, but if you want it to cover the whole front of your card cut it to that size. Next you're going to start assembling the pattern. I knew I was going to be adding a circle to the bottom left corner for my image so I traced the outside of my die so I could make sure everything else was completely covered with the strips. Using the circle framelit, place it on the bottom corner and using a pencil, gently trace the inside of the circle. This gives you an idea of where the image will sit, as you glue your strips down. I use Tombo multipurpose glue to add the strips as it gives you a little more time to work with it without drying too fast!

Sunburst Corner Card by Kate Morgan

This technique may look complicated but is pretty simple

and there are several ways you can use it on a card.

Just Google either starburst or sunburst card and you'll

see what I mean.

For my card I started with four 1½" x 6". Each one of

those strip was cut at a diagonal from corner to corner.

You will also need a base for assembling.

I cut mine a little smaller than A5 size because I knew I

was going to matt it, but if you want it to cover the

whole front of your card cut it to that size.

Next you're going to start assembling the pattern.

I knew I was going to be adding a circle to the bottom

left corner for my image so I traced the outside of my die

so I could make sure everything else was completely

covered with the strips.

Using the circle framelit, place it on the bottom corner

and using a pencil, gently trace the inside of the circle.

This gives you an idea of where the image will sit, as you

glue your strips down.

I use Tombo multipurpose glue to add the strips as it

gives you a little more time to work with it without drying too fast!

Once all the pieces are glued down I trimmed around the edges with scissors to remove the

excess over-hang.

Glue it to your card base and embellish as you would like. I like adding faux-stitching or

paper piercing to all my panels, but it looks great either way.
