Sawtell Sun Rotary Club of Sawtell 4 March 2020 Below Guest speaker Ashleigh Geddes with President Warren Hollyman. This week Ashleigh Geddes, in her role as President of the Coffs Interact Club, joined us as guest speaker. Ashleigh is a Year 12 student at CHEC, where the Interact Club meets on Tuesday afternoons. The Club was established and supported by the Coffs Harbour Daybreak Club. Interact is for young people aged 12-18 and while all their current members are students at CHEC, the club is hoping to broaden its membership to include young people from other schools. The club fund raises and supports the activities of the Daybreak club and are a dab hand at BBQing. During questions it was noted that Coffs lacks a Rotaract Club, which would be the natural progression for former Interactors—although several former members are now Rotactors in Sydney.

Interact is for young people aged 12-18 and while all their current members are students

at CHEC, the club is hoping to broaden its membership to include young people from other schools. The club fund raises and supports the activities of the Daybreak club and are a dab hand at BBQing. During questions it was noted that Coffs lacks a Rotaract Club, which would be the natural progression for former Interactors—although several former members are now Rotactors in Sydney.

President Elect Peter is keen for members to consider attending the District Conference this year. You

can go either day and it's only a short drive this time. There are no registration fees. Lunch and

morning tea are only $30 on the Saturday and Lunch is $25 on the Sunday. Dinner Saturday evening is

$55 and includes two drink vouchers. You don't have to have any meal or food. So conceivably it could

cost only your fuel! Sue and Peter

will be there and that Rob and Julie

have booked a site for their van and

are staying for the week.

This week is your last chance to

register!
