Sand Snakes are made from tough PVC, so theywill stand up to rough surfaces and last a longtime under normal treatment. When rounding upwash water is a problem, put these Snakes towork. Just position the Snakes in the path ofwater and direct the flow to your collection pointfor easy removal. We suggest that you half-fillthe Snakes with sand or a mixture of sand andvermiculite for lighter weight and easier handling.

Water Dikes are similar to Sand Snakes butthey can be filled with water or sand. Made ofheavy duty PVC, these Water Dikes are de-signed to stand up to normal use on roughsurfaces with minimal care. Water dikes will not stand up tobeing dragged across pavement, however. We recommendthat you fill them with water on the job to give you an excellentseal (preventing used wash water from passing underneath).Once the job is finished, you can simply drain them out forconvenient and lightweight handling and storage.

WHY DOES SUN BRITE SELL “KITS”?

Our definition of VALUE is providing you the best products at the lowest possible price. When talking about cleaning chemi-cals, a big part of that Value calculation is the decision whether to offer products as slurries, concentrates, powders, orRTU’s (ready-to-use).

Powders are the least expensive to make, store, package and handle, because they contain no weight from water. Powderscan present some minor problems for a power washing contractor, however. As an example, some powders only dissolvewell in warm water (which quite a few of our customers don’t have available on the job). Improper dissolving translates intoweaker cleaners and clogged spray tips. Sometimes, too, the formula for a liquid cleaner is altered in minor ways to make it apowder - which sometimes can compromise its on-the-job performance.

Liquid cleaners, on the other hand, are convenient for pre-treating spots such as oil on concrete. Liquids are expensive topackage and handle though, which is why so many RTU national brands sold at the warehouse stores are so darn expen-sive. RTU’s are generally aimed at the homeowner/customer because the products are fully diluted to a ‘safe-to-handle’strength.

National Brand RTU’s at warehouse stores often cost ten times as much per usable gallon as our concentrated cleaners,even though those products are much weaker and much less likely to work as fast for you as our professional-grade prod-ucts.

Since we designed our products for Value, we always leaned towards offering a liquid concentrate or slurry for most prod-ucts. A slurry is the most concentrated liquid form of chemical possible. A slurry must be diluted quite a bit just to make it intoa concentrate. A slurry marries the benefits of a liquid formula to the savings associated with a powder by getting rid of thewater weight but keeping a liquid form.

A good supplier decides whether to sell powders, slurries, concentrates or RTU’s based on how each product performs whenused - and the cost-to-benefit relationship. Sun Brite offers many products in Kits that are made up of any combination ofpowders, slurries, and concentrates. We do this to minimize the space we use in our warehouse, as well as to keep the costof the product down and to make it easier for you to handle. Have you ever tried moving a 55 gallon drum? It’s not an easything to do on your own!
