Michele Champagne, Director of Nutritional Product Development, Synthetic Genomics

Michele joined the SGI team in November, 2010 as Principal

Scientist, Foods Program. She is currently the Director of

Nutritional Product Development, leading the technical conception and execution for

novel food ingredients sourced from fermentation. Previously, she was Head of R&D

at KAS Hawaii, developing microalgae for aquaculture and novel genetic engineering

technology for algae and plants.

David Creasey, Vice President, Ocean Optics

David has acted as OEM sales manager for EMEA and Director of

the global OEM business, and is now responsible for the global

sales and marketing activities for Ocean Optics, including the OEM business unit. His

strong technical background and applications knowledge allows him to quickly assess

and identify targeted solutions for customers that balance both business and technical

needs while pushing the envelope of innovation using Ocean Optics’ technologies.

Arturo Elizondo, CEO, Clara Foods

Arturo is CEO of Clara Foods, a sustainable ingredients company

developing performance protein products and designer

egg whites. Prior to joining Clara Foods, Arturo served under Supreme Court

Justice, Sonia Sotomayor, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the investment

bank Credit Suisse. Arturo holds a degree in Government and Comparative Politics

Lighter

Alexis is the CEO (Chief Empowerment Officer) at Lighter, a

powerful platform that helps the world eat better. Lighter tells

people what food to buy and how to throw great meals together based on the

recommendations of food leaders. Alexis has dedicated her life to fixing our broken

food system and has worked in the movement as an attorney, political leader and

entrepreneur.

Jim Flatt, Chief of R&D, Hampton Creek

Jim joined Hampton Creek as Chief of R&D and Chief Science

Officer in 2015. He previously served as Chief Technology Officer

and later as the President of Genovia Bio, a renewable products division of Synthetic

Genomics Inc., leading the development and commercialisation of several microalgal-

based products and execution of several major product and technology partnerships.

Ben Fishman,Private Equity Investor, Arlon Group

Ben is a Managing Principal at Arlon Group LLC, which he helped

establish in 2007. From 1998-2000, he served as a Strategic and

Financial Analyst for Continental Grain Company (CGC). Ben left CGC in 2000 to co-

found The Grow Network, which was sold to the McGraw-Hill companies in 2004. In

2005, he was a National Finalist for the White House Fellowship.

Timothy Fischer, Senior Vice President of Supply Chain, Bumble Bee Foods

Timothy is the Senior Vice President of Bumble Bee Foods. He has

over 30 years’ experience as a supply chain professional working

primarily in the CPG industry. He is currently responsible for the Logistics, Customer

Service and Global Planning of Bumble Bee Foods. He received his BGS from the

University of Michigan and has a MS in General Administration from Central Michigan

and an Executive Masters Degree in International Logistics and Supply Chain Strategy

from Georgia Tech.

Larry Feinberg, Industrial Biotechnologist, CEO, Co-Founder, KnipBio

An entrepreneurial industrial biotechnologist, Larry co-founded

KnipBio in 2013. He has deep expertise in early-stage technology

ventures, bioproduct discovery and large-scale commercialization initiatives. With

the advanced biofuel technology firm Mascoma Corporation, Larry held leadership

responsibilities in scientific discovery and business development roles responsible for

advancing multiple commercial initiatives including a cellulosic ethanol biorefinery in
