YOUTH LEADERSHIP SUMMIT AT IIM BANGALORE
Divyanshu Chhabra (roll no 16526 ) and Ankit (roll no 16513 ) from the Department of
Information Technology, Dronacharya College of Engineering, attended the 3 day Youth
Leadership Summit held at IIM Bangalore from 26th to 28th September 2014. The event
was a part of their annual fest IIMB Vista. The summit was inaugurated by Professor Charan
Singh (Chair Professor of Reserve Bank of India). The session was continued by
Professor Pranav Garg (Professor at IIMB ) In this session, he talked about the qualities of an
entrepreneur. His main focus was on strategic thinking and how can one’s instinct play a
greater role in taking entrepreneurial decisions.

MICROSOFT STUDENT PARTNER SUMMIT
Microsoft India organized Microsoft Student Partner (India) Summit 2014 for all Microsoft
Student Associates (MSA) and Microsoft Student Partners (MSP) from 29 different states
of India. The summit was held in the campus of Gyan Ganga Institute of Technology and
Management Bhopal from 8-10 November 2014 and comprised of knowledge and skill
development sessions, discussions, workshops, and other learning and fun opportunities. Ms.
Sarita, Asst. Professor with Six MSP namely Ayushi Mishra, Deepak Chandel, DhruvPahuja,
Dipti Bhardwaj, Karan Bhalla and Kunal Ahuja attended Summit at Bhopal.

10TH FICCI HIGHER EDUCATION SUMMIT 2014
Prof. (Dr.) B. M. K. Prasad, Director, DCE and Prof. Vishal Bharti, Head, Dept. of CSE, along
with thirty students from all branches, represented Dronacharya College of Engineering,
Gurgaon at the 10th FICCI Higher Education Summit 2014: a Global Conference organized
by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) on November 13th,
2014 at FICCI New Delhi. The Summit was supported by the Ministry of Human Resource
Development (MHRD) and the Planning Commission, Government of India. The theme of the
Conference was Internationalization of Higher Education and Implementation Framework for
‘Higher Education Vision 2030: Making it Happen in India,’ which was released by FICCI
during the 9th FICCI Higher Education Summit last year.

INDIA- US TECHNOLOGY SUMMIT 2014
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with the Department of Science &
Technology, Government of India organized the annual flagship event INDIA-US Technology
Summit 2014 on 18-19 November, 2014 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. The objective
of the summit was facilitating technology transfer, joint research and development (R&D)
and joint market access projects between India and the US industry, research organizations
and academic institutions. Ms. Pratibha Sharma, Asst. Professor from CSE Department, Ms.
Sarita, Asst. Professor from CSE Department, and Mr. Yashvardhan Soni, Associate Professor
from IT Dept., attended the event for 2 days.

Development) discussed about innovation in Teaching.

INDO- US TECH WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS WORKSHOP
For women entrepreneurs in technology, a workshop was conducted at the India-US
Technology Summit 2014 on 18th November, 2014. Ms. Pratibha Sharma, Ms. Sarita (Asst.
Professors, CSE Department) and Mr. Yashvardhan Soni (Associate Professor, IT Dept.)
attended the workshop on the 1st day of the summit. Leading Indian and U.S. women tech.
entrepreneurs addressed aspiring women professionals on building career in science &
technology.

PANEL DISCUSSION ON DESIGNING SECURED IT PROCESSES
At the India-US Technology Summit 2014, a panel discussion on “Designing Secured IT
Processes – Growing Need for IT Security & Compliance” was held where eminent
personalities discussed the IT Security Challenges and its business impact as well as how to
strike the right balance between high ends IT Service and regulatory Compliance measures.
The discussion focused on how to attain an ideal maturity level of compliance. Ms. Pratibha
Sharma, Ms. Sarita (Asst. Professors, CSE Dept.) and Mr. Yashvardhan Soni, (Associate

AN INNOVATIVE DIGITAL PLATFORM FOR RURAL DEVELOPMENT
On 19th November, 2014 Ms. Pratibha Sharma, Ms. Sarita, (Asst. Professors, CSE
Department) and Mr. Yashvardhan Soni (Associate Professor, IT Dept.) from Dronacharya
College of Engineering, Gurgaon, attended India-US Technology Summit at India Expo
Centre, Greater Noida. SPRING has been collaborating with its US and India based partner
Digital Green in adapting their "human-mediated digital learning approach" for the
promotion of key maternal, infant, and young child nutrition (MIYCN) and hygiene-related
behaviors.

INDIA INNOVATION INITIATIVE PROJECTS EXHIBITION
On 19th November, 2014 three faculty members-Mr. Yashvardhan Soni (IT Dept), Ms. Sarita
(CSE Dept.) & Ms. Pratibha Sharma (CSE Dept.) from Dronacharya College of Engineering
,Gurgaon, attended CII Project Exhibition in India-US Technology Summit at India Expo
Centre, Greater Noida. India Innovation Initiative 2014 was started in September 2014 and
the shortlisted innovations were declared in 1st week of November 2014. Total 62 projects
were selected all over India. The shortlisted projects were displayed at the Knowledge Expo
2014 during the India-US Technology Summit 2014.
