Description:

The Springfield Forest Schupps Add. 1115DP Summerton Way Pond project was substantially completed on May 23, 2014. This is an existing Stormwater Management facility located on Summerton Way. The project is to retrofit the existing dry pond to provide stormwater quality and detention improvement. The proposed water quality benefits realized by this project will be the removal of 1.83 lbs/year of total phosphorus, 8.34 lbs/year of total nitrogen and 358.69 lbs/year of total suspended solids.

Project Overview:• Removed the existing concrete trickle ditch, regraded the facility to lengthen the flow path and

maximize the pond volume.• Excavated and constructed three micro-pools at a maximum depth of 18” below the pond bottom.• Installed a proposed EW-1A endwall along with 10’ long reinforced bedding material.• Installed the proposed 18”x32” concrete apron and a reverse flow trash rack at the existing riser. • Constructed an 8’ wide gravel maintenance access road with a CG-9B driveway entrance•Restored the site with selective seed mix and plantings.

Project Team:• Stormwater and Planning Division - Rose Barrie• Utilities Design and Construction Division - Yousef Rayyan• Utilities Design and Construction Division - Paul Thaler• Surveyor - Gregory Harper
