Summergrass does not wish to impose too many rules and regulations or to limit anyone’s enjoyment of the festival, but in order to ensure that EVERYONE has as much fun & comfort as possible, here are a few items you should know…
Workshop Area: All music workshops will be held in the Assembly Building this year. The museum has changed the Farmhouse area, which was our workshop area in the past. Please note this change.
Chairs: If a chair is vacant during any stage show, it is perfectly ok to sit in it. If your chair is occupied upon your return, please kindly ask the person to give it up. You may leave your chair in the audience area for the entire festival without having to bring it every morning.
Audience Area: For everyone’s safety, please do not sit in the fire lane directly in front of the stage. And no smoking, no pets, no loud chit chat during performances (please respect the people sitting around you who are here to enjoy the music). Umbrellas are not allowed as they block other’s views. Dancing, hula hoops, etc.(which can distract from the stage show) are ok, but only in the designated area in the back of the audience area (again, be courteous to your neighbors). Videotaping or taping of any kind during the
music performances is not permitted. No glass containers, alcohol or drugs in audience area. Any person clearly under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be immediately escorted from the festival grounds with no refund.
Campground Area: No parking in designated fire lanes. Pets are OK in the campground area only. Owners must control pets, prevent them from barking, and perform P.P.P.U. (Pet Poop Pick Up).
Generators may be used from 6 am to 10 pm. NO Campfires. Sorry, no showers available this year.

SIDELINE Summergrass welcomes Sideline to our 2015 festival! What's in a name? As their name implies, this band may be an additional activity for them, and they may stand to the side of the stage in their “regular” bands, but when they get together, it's all front and center bluegrass. And audiences understand why Sideline is made of A-tier bluegrassers who are loved and adored by fans the world over. Sideline is Steve Dilling on banjo, Skip Cherryholmes on guitar, Darren Aldridge on mandolin, Brian Aldridge on fiddle, and Jason Moore on bass. Check out their music on YouTube and friend them on their Facebook site.
BLUEGRASS ETC. Summergrass proudly welcomes back Bluegrass Etc., known
worldwide for their stellar music and stage antics. They are both en-tertaining and masters of their instruments. Dennis Caplinger on
banjo and fiddle (and anything else he wants to play), is joined by John Moore who plays a stunning guitar and mandolin, and the leg-
endary Steve Spurgin on bass. Together they perform bluegrass (and etc.) to the delight of their audiences. It’s a real treat to have
these hometown heroes return again to our stage!
BECKY BULLER Hailing from St. James, Minnesota, Becky Buller is a multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter who has traipsed the world to perform her own version of bluegrass and roots music.
