Teams will practice and test their skills as a group in tourna- ment play. Officials will be provided on our beautiful Vol- leyball Venue of 10 air-conditioned courts! Our Hofstra staff and players will offer a short presentation on team concepts. Teams must provide their own coach or team representative, lunches and beverages. TEAM FEE: $275.00/TEAM (Teams must have a minimum of 6 players; no maximum on roster.) Registration closes on August 1, 2004. $100 deposit will hold a spot for your team. For a small, addi- tional fee, camp will supply a court coach, if requested.

Elaine Roqué will onceagain lead L.I. Volleyball2004 Summer Camp pro-grams as the Head Coach.Elaine is a world class Vol-leyball Player, as she hasbeen a member of the U.S.National Team, CollegiateAll-American at UCLA andUtah State and FIVBWorld Champion BeachVolleyball player. Elaine isHofstra’s Associate Head Coach.

“Elaine is a wonderful teacher and motivator. Her lovefor volleyball is apparent. Elaine will direct us to a higherlevel in volleyball at camp just as she did this past Janu-ary/February at our clinics.”

Francine Kalafer

Francine Kalafer, Head Coach of HofstraUniversity’s Division I Vol-leyball Program, has led herteams to five NCAA Cham-pionship appearances andnumerous America East/North Atlantic Conferencetitles. Most recently, HofstraVolleyball was a finalist inthe CAA Championships.This past December, CoachKalafer received one of thesports highest honors as she

was inducted into the American Volleyball CoachesAssociation Hall of Fame - first class of inductees. In2001, Coach Kalafer received the AVCA FoundersAward. In addition, Coach Kalafer has been selectedto the 1999 NCAA Regional Coach of the Year andalso recognized for her Long Island contributions tothe sport by being named the Nassau County SportsCommission “Outstanding Collegiate Coach”.

Coach Kalafer has been instrumental in con-ducting clinics on a year round basis and a very suc-cessful L.I. Volleyball Development Summer Campprogram. Fran is the Camp’s Director and Co-HeadCoach.

Joining Coaches Kalafer and Roqué are herveteran staff...of top international, collegiate, highschool coaches and Hofstra’s Division I players.
