Tuesday July 26Organized tour of East Jerusalem emphasizing the points of conflict between the Israeli state and Palestinian residents of East Jerusalem. Includes visits to Arab neighborhoods and the barrier wall.

Lunch in East Jerusalem

A walking visit to the Old City of Jerusalem, including the Arab marketplace, the Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock, the Western Wall and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.

Estimated CostsAIRFARE July is the peak travel time for Israel and fares from the United States to Israel (TLV) will cost around $1500-1700.

INSURANCE Students must purchase travel insurance if it is not provided by their current health insurance carrier.  This will likely cost less than $100.

HOTEL / TOUR FEE Students must pay a $1500 fee to JHU.  This will cover hotels and breakfasts, charter bus, entrance fees, guide fees and tips.

FOOD Breakfasts, except in Majdal Shams, are included in the hotel fee.  Lunch and dinner will need to be self-funded, and students should expect to spend at least $30 for meals per day.
