There is a growing worldwide concern over fresh water sources and ocean water quality. The world's population is predicted to double by 2027 and millions more people will be without access to clean water. Scientists from around the world are urging an immediate adoption of clean waste processing technologies and the development of infrastructures to protect water resources and delicately balanced ecosystems. Even in countries as water rich as Canada, clean fresh water is too precious a resource to take for granted. BCOSSA is actively involved in the stewardship of the wastewater and sewage treatment industry. BCOSSA continues to consult with provincial and national regulatory health authorities toward the advancement of technologies that safeguard public health and protect fresh water resources. BCOSSA’s primary and over-arching objective at all times is to provide sewage wastewater treatment and septic system technologies that meet key objectives and philosophy of serving the public and the environment. As such, the onsite wastewater treatment and dispersal industry has been since the late 1800’s the first truly recyclers to clean and return to the environment clean water that has been used for sewage.

The BCOSSA publication: The INNOVATOR is providing an internet link to a new concept – a single source of a Calendar of Events to include events such as seminars, webinars and conferences that would be interest to all BC industry members. The Calendar is intended to include events by ASTTBC, local governments, suppliers and WCOWMA. To include your event just provide to the BCOSSA office the topic, location, date, time and if any fees or if the event is free of charge.

    Season’s Greetings

As President of BCOSSA I would like to express a very Merry Christmas to all of the members of our association. It has been a more challenging economic year for many in the onsite industry, but we have persevered and drawn strength from each other through our organization.

I would like to offer a special Christmas greeting to the Board members of BCOSSA whose leadership and support I have counted on to move the organization forward. Without the Boards dedication and hard work BCOSSA would not be here to serve its membership! I am looking forward to the New Year at BCOSSA. We are preparing new ways to serve your educational needs and representing your interests within the industry. You can always count on us, continuing the technical support and membership support service many of you rely on.

The 2018 year offers more opportunity to the onsite industry in BC and, with your support, BCOSSA will help the industry grow and prosper through the strength of its members.
