Located between the popular coastal towns of Brighton and Hastings, Eastbourne is a great choice for students who want to experience the traditional English seaside. Our summer centre operates from both our own British Council accredited English school and Eastbourne College, which was originally established in 1867. Set within beautiful landscaped grounds, the college offers bright classrooms and modern facilities, whilst our school is situated in a Victorian building on a tree-lined road.

AccommodationStudents staying in Eastbourne will be accommodated in twin rooms with one of our experienced homestay hosts, who also welcome students from our school throughout the year. Our hosts are carefully selected for the friendly and safe environment they provide, offering students a warm welcome to the UK and plenty of opportunity to practise their English. Laundry services will be available, this is typically one wash per week which will be included in your students’ stay.

Local areaOur school and Twin Eastbourne College are located close to some of Eastbourne’s best attractions. To ensure that students have the chance to take advantage of all these great sites, our activity programme includes a trip to Beachy Head - Britain’s highest chalk sea cliff - and those arriving during certain summer weeks will be able to attend the annual festival and airshow. In addition to this, students will be able to enjoy fish and chips by the beach, visit the local marina and see the stunning South Downs National Park.

Sample ProgrammeOur Eastbourne centre is available throughout the summer with durations lasting anywhere between 1-8 weeks. We want our students to see everything that the town and surrounding areas has to offer, so students will take an orientation tour, go shopping and walk to the scenic cliffs of Beachy Head. In addition to English

lessons, students will spend time on campus enjoying fun social activities and playing sports, as well as taking half day excursions to Hastings and Herstmonceux Castle. No trip to the South of England would be complete without visiting the capital so students will have a full day in London and the seaside town of Brighton.
