Camp Details:Adventure Day Camp’s expectation is tomake for healthier and happier campers!

Time: Mon-Fri 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Aftercare: Is from 7:30am-8:45am& 3:15-4:30pm additional $2 per extra careneed and is paid on Friday of each week, ona weekly basis. Please call Camp Director(330-965-0482) to register your child foraftercare.

Location:Thomas C. Masters Pavilion

Camp Length: 10 WeeksCampers can be signed up for as little asone week or as many as all ten -Week 10will have limited space. Daily rates notavailable.

Food: Campers supply their own sacklunch, Boardman Park supplies a drink anda snack

Age Requirements:Kindergarten thru 6th grade*State Guidelines require campers musthave completed kindergarten

Curriculum:The Camp’s curriculum is designed to be ageappropriate, educational, and fun! Our goal is toblend summer camp fun and nature education. Thecampers spend the majority of their time outdoors!They stay active by participating in daily schedulededucational programs focusing on:

● Arts & Crafts: Daily art lesson and hands-oncraft projects.

● Team Building: Build relationships and work onproblem solving skills.

● Creative Arts: Play, Act, Dance, impersonateand have a ball using your imagination.

● Science: Become adventurers and discovernature through hands-on trips into the woods.

● Sports: We keep the campers active with lotsof games. It’s PE class outside everyday!

Realizing how beneficial an active summer is forchildren, Boardman Park will make every effort toensure that their experience is safe, educationaland fun-filled. Along with our 5 main subject areas,we also provide two additional activities. The firstencourages the campers to exercise by taking a 30minute walk or jog in the Park twice a week. Thesecond is dedicated to reading books outside in thefresh air once a week.

Can parents pay by theday or just by theweek?At this time the Park is stillcharging by the week. Yourson/daughter doesn't have toattend everyday but the rate isnot prorated for only attend-ing partial weeks.

Do you offer early dropoff/ late pick up?We offer early drop off andaftercare; 7:30 am-8:45 am and3:15 pm 4:30 pm. There is a fee of$2 per extension, per child andper day, paid on Friday of eachweek.

Are kids out in the sun allday?No, camper safety is our #1concern; many of our sessions arecovered or are in a shaded area. In case of rain we do have blindson the Pavilion to create an"enclosed" building. In the eventof a strong storm or extremetemperatures the Camp will makeevery effort to get campers into afacility.

What is the ratio ofstaff to campers?10:1; Each group has a GroupLeader who is with theircampers the majority of theday,  group leaders lead theirgroups to the Instructorswhich are the staff who areteaching the specific subject.We also have CTs (Counselorsin Training) which are there tohelp assist the group leadersand instructors.

How are the kidsdivided into groups?They are generally separated bytheir grade level that they justfinished when they are in ses-sions. (Art/Creative Art,Science,Team Building, Sports), but willbe intermixed during their freetime at the beginning of campday, lunch, recess, and free timeat the end of the day. The camp-ers are identified as to whichgroup they are in by their col-ored wrist bands which theyreceive each morning.

Fun, Socialization and Education kids enjoy their summer outside!

Where do Parents dropoff and pick up theircampers?For campers safety Parents willneed to check in theirstudent in the morning and signthem out in the afternoon in theMasters Pavilion (open air pavil-ion next to the Bocce courts).

What does a camperhave to bring with them?●Reusable water bottle●Lunch in thermal bag or cooler●Sun Screen & Bug Spray●Jacket /hoodie (it tends to becold in the early morning)●Rain jacket or poncho if itlooks like rain (we will seekshelter if lightning or thunderare present)●Comfortable walking shoes●A book bag with change ofclothes if your child isaccident proneJ●A positive attitude!

Is there refrigerationfor lunches?No, but most campers bringtheir packed lunches in "ig-loo" coolers or any type ofthermal cooler bag.
