essay (personal statement). Students will leave with a rough draft
in hand and starters for multiple essays.

Why the essay is such an important part of the application.
*All college essay workshop attendees receive a free proof of a final draft
college essay (when submitted within 10 days of the workshop).
Workshops are led by former Katy ISD educator and current professional college consultant, Cassie Friend. She has worked with hundreds of students on various aspects of the college application process. Acceptances include Stanford, Columbia, West Point, Texas A&M, University of Texas, Baylor, and countless other universities. In addition to teaching high school English for many years, Mrs. Cassie has worked as a professional copywriter and marketing executive. Because of her unique experiences, she not only effectively advises students on the logistical process of applying to colleges, she helps her students strategically communicate value in all elements of the application process which helps to set her students apart from the rest.
