ABOUT SUMMER CAMP

INTRODUCTION

Summer Camp is a national project run by AIESEC Vietnam, with the name Vietnam

Youth Icon in AIESEC Hanoi, aiming to raise self awareness as well as

acknowledgement about current trends and issues in high school students and

freshmen in universities. Summer camp also give them opportunity to create positive

impact on society through practical experience.

Vietnam is now at a fast-paced development and it is obvious that the country needs

more strong leaders to be fully responsible for the country’s development.

Meanwhile, the youth, who are regarded as future owners of the country, are the

possible force that need to take the lead in this progress of both improving economic

state and creating positive impact to the society.

Challenges that we face:

• Most of young students are stuck in environment that does not teach them how

to be proactive and responsible for their own lives and society. Also they are in

lack of practical skills to do that.

• In their age, they are lacked of self understanding, understanding about the

world and direction in life.

• Young people don’t know how to express themselves positively and are

indifferent to people around.

This is a spectacular program and we have been greatly

associated with the Organizing Committee team. Through our

campaign, we have increased the confidence of many students;

we have brought them out and have given them many interactive

training sessions. And we have really seen them abandon their

shyness. I am so happy to be a part of this amazing project!
