STAFF SPOTLIGHT:

Jheron Thompson • Day Camp Director

Meet Jheron! Jheron, AKA “Tigger” has been a part of the Camp Cliff family since 2009.

What do you enjoy most about Summer Day Camp? I love CAMP CLIFF! I enjoy the cheesy songs, spending hot days at the pool, field trips, getting dirty and messy, laughing uncontrollable and most importantly having FUN and seeing kids smile!

What’s your favorite day at Camp Cliff? My favorite day is “Slime Day”! Campers donate money all week to the camper who they would like to see get slimmed the most; the slime is green, cold and gooey and gets dumped right on our heads! The campers have a great time while learning about good deeds. All the money is donated to the Arlington Animal Shelter.

What are your hobbies outside of Camp Cliff? I will be a junior at University of North Texas as a broadcasting major so I spend a lot of time working for the UNT’s radio and television station. I also enjoy playing basketball, watching sports and hanging out with friends.

TEAM TRYOUT PREP CLINICS • TIERRA VERDE GOLF CLUBInterested in playing for your middle school or high school golf team? Arlington Golf has created a program designed specifically for helping you prepare for tryouts! Our spring class is for the junior high student wanting to prepare for their middle school golf tryout. We will also offer a summer session (June-August) for the high school student wanting to prepare for their tryouts in the fall.

The focus of both clinics will be to teach the basic/intermediate fundamentals of the game; while also preparing them for on-course playing, including: keeping score, proper etiquette, rules of golf, course management, etc.

There will be a three-month commitment required to attend this course because it will be progressive through the three months.During the winter months, classes will be held on the heated patio at Tierra Verde, where side flaps will protect the students from the wind and cold.

Visit ArlingtonGolf.com or call the TVGC Pro Shop at 817-478-8500 for information on any of our camps and clinics.
