Muth Electric received the electrical contract for Monument Health in Rapid City, SD. The project began in October 2017 and will be completed in August 2020.

We previously knew Monument Health as Rapid City Regional Hospital. Monu-ment Health is part of the Mayo hospital network.

102,204 man-hours have been put into this project since July 2020. Muth Electric wired the hospital’s utility plant, which was com-missioned in 2009, that contained two 2.25 MW generators. As part of this project, we added a third. Other interesting facts are we built four 4000 amp services. We installed nine elevators with shafts for three more. Also, between the 2 projects at the hospi-tal, 24,800 feet of PVC400 was installed and 91,623 feet of #750 MCM alumi-num wire was pulled.

The east building has four levels that have been occu-pied since September 2019. Projects on that included new loading dock & storage space, new ER and exam

rooms, three-bay ambulance garage, two CT scanners, and 32 heart & vascular patient recovery rooms. In April 2020, Muth Electric helped with the build-out for a COVID patient space.

The west half of the hospital is mostly finished and has five levels. Projects on the west building include a doctor area, conference rooms, heart and vascular exam rooms, the primary entry area with a large atrium, lounge, and bistro.

The Project Manager is Scott Hall, Project Estimator is Todd Stickler and the Project Superintendent is Bryan Hamer. Service That Reflects a Commitment to Quality Featured Project: Williston Airport Runway

Muth Electric received the electrical contract for the Williston Runway in Williston, ND. The project began in May 2020 and is projected to be complete in October 2020.

The project includes a crosswind runway installation at the XWA Airport in Williston, ND.

The XWA Airport is the first ground-up airport built in the region in nearly three-quarters of a century. In 2019 the Williston Airport was one

of the ten fastest-growing airports in the nation. Muth Elec-tric is installing runway lighting, signs, and control devices

to manage incoming aircraft.

The Project Manager is Brandin Weyrauch, Project Estimator is Wayne Schneider, and the Pro-ject Superintendent is Ty Dia-mond. Other employees that

Summer 2020

Muth Electric received the electrical contract for the Madison Middle School & High School renovation in Madison, MN. Work on this project began in May 2020 and will be com-pleted in August 2020. The 196,000 square foot school is where grades 5th to 12th attend. The school is locat-ed outside of Madison, MN. Students from Madison, Appleton, Marietta/Nassau attend. The school was built in 1990. Muth Electric’s projects on the renovation include updating the old switchgear to a new 3000A service, adding a new fire alarm

system to the school, and a lighting renovation on the same project site that had switching using Bluetooth.

An interesting fact about the school is because it is 10 miles out of town, the building has its own water treatment plant and sewer. The Project Manager is Chris Lee, the Superinten-dent is Andrew Becker, the Project Estimator is Dave Muth. Other employees that assisted on the job are as follows: Brian G, Chad V, Logan S,

Service That Reflects a Commitment to Quality Featured Project: Madison High School Renovation

Featured Project: Madison Elementary School Renovation Muth Electric received the electrical con-tract for the Madison Elementary School renova-tion in Madison, MN. Work on this project began in April 2020 and is projected for completion in Au-gust 2021. The tight schedule to do 80% of the work before school starts in August 2020 has been unique. The original building was built in 1939 and still has original wiring in it. A complete gut of all electrical systems was needed as well as putting in all-new building au-

tomation, lighting control, and electrical to bring it up to current code standards. The Project Manager is Chris Lee, the Superin-tendent is Logan Stokke, the Project Estimator is Paul Vieth.
