August 2 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm “Shell” We Color Celebrate National Coloring Day with us! Decorate your own seashell, pick out your favorite page in one of our coloring books, or draw your own artwork! All ages welcome!

August 7 @ 10:00 until 2:00 pm Operation Seas the Day! Create posters in support of our military families visiting Bethany in September! All ages are welcome!

August 11 Conclusion of Summer Reading Program Remember to complete the program and claim your prize bag! Congrats to those individuals who completed the program!

August 13 @ 2:00 Petrology-It Rocks! Is it a gem, fossil, lava, or arrow head? Come be a geologist and learn about rocks with the Abbott’s Mill Nature Center, a part of the Delaware Nature Society. For grades K-5. In person preregistration required! You must accompany your child. This program is made possible by collaboration between the DE Division of the Arts & the DE Division of Libraries.

August 14 @ 6:00 pm Family Game Night For families with children in 1st-5th grade. In person preregistration required. You must accompany your child.

August 16 @ 2:00 pm American Girl Bingo Come play, do a craft and have a snack! In person preregistration required. For ages 4 –7 years. If you wish, bring your American Doll with you!

August 27 @ 2:00 pm PAWS for Reading Well-trained teams of dogs & owners provide a supportive and fun way for kids to improve literacy skills and learn to enjoy reading.

For ages 3 & up. In person preregistration required.

June 30 @ 1:00 pm Puppy Bean Art Come and create a puppy face with beans! For ages 6 to 9 years. In person preregistration required.

July 9 @ 3:00 pm Rock the Mic: Hip-Hop and Literacy with Baba Bomani Enjoy this interactive performance featuring a variety of media, songs, and historical facts. For grades K-5. You must accompany your child. This program is made possible by collaboration between the DE Division of the Arts & the Delaware Division of Libraries.

July 10, 17, 24, & 31 from 10:00 - 2:00 pm Operation Seas the Day! Create posters in support of our military families visiting Bethany Beach in September. Fun for all ages!

July 18 & July 25 @ 2:30 pm “Story & Art” with artist & teacher Jackie Boyd. Enjoy a story and learn how to draw an illustration for the book. For ages 5 to 8 years. In person preregistration required. Registration is limited to one session, so others may have an opportunity to attend.

June 14 @ 10:00 am Makin’ Music at Story Time You and your child will enjoy interactive music, movement, and instruments with Nancy Curry. For ages 3-5 years.

June 19 @ 10:30 am Science Rocks! With the Delaware Aerospace Foundation. You and your child will visit several stations to explore how sounds are made and how we hear them. For ages 6-11 years. In person preregistration required. You must accompany your child. This program is made possible by collaboration between the DE Division of the Arts & the Delaware Division of Libraries.

June 20 @ 3:00 pm Reptile Wonders - The Nature Center on the Go Learn fun facts and see different reptiles! For ages 3 and up. You must accompany your child.

June 21 @ 2:00 pm Unexpected Heroes: India Tales presented by New Moon Theater Master Storyteller, Julie Kurzava, brings to life three stories from India about quick-witted and kind-hearted heroes. For grades K-5. You must accompany your child. This program is made possible by collaboration between the DE Division of the Arts & the Delaware Division of Libraries.

June 25 @ 2:00 pm PAWS for Reading Well-trained teams of dogs & owners provide a supportive and fun way for kids to improve literacy skills and learn to enjoy reading. For ages 3 & up. In person preregistration required.

June 28 @ 10:00 am “Police are Our Friends” Story Time Meet and listen to stories read by Corporal Houghie of the DE State Police. For ages 3-5 years.

June 28 @ 2:00 pm Rap, Rock, & Read Miss Nina’s show is an interactive, high-energy musical performance. For ages 2-7 years.

Introducing LEGO CLUB!

Featuring a creative and unique theme each week. Build your own LEGO creations! For ages 7 to 11 years. In person preregistration required. Registration begins at the start of each month. LEGO club will meet in the meeting room on Saturdays and Story Time room on Tuesdays.

June 25 @ 10:30 am. Cubetto’s Treasure Hunt! Cubetto is our youngest South Coastal robot! Help Cubetto find the hidden treasure at the library! For ages 3-5 years. In person preregistration required. You must accompany your child.

August 23 @ 12:30 pm Short Circuit: Our robotics club for older children and teens! For ages 9 to 13 years. In person preregistration required.

Family Movie Night! Cool off this summer with our family
