4. Scene of training course
5. Summary evaluation of training course
This training course was conducted only by TSC counterparts (without a
short-term expert) and was completed successfully.
The participants have little experience in water balance analysis; however,
through the training course they obtained the knowledge on data collection
and water balance calculation.
The training course program was consisted of lectures only, and exercise was
not included. However, it should be included because exercise using Excel or
GIS software is good way to check their understanding.

To acquire methods of measuring flow rate and Making H-Q curve
4. Scene of training course
5. Summary evaluation of training course
The training material is prepared very well but it should be translated in Khmer
because most trainees are not well understood in English.
Duration of training course is not suitable with the training material because the
time of practical site is not enough for checking data collection to process in
computer.
Participant's knowledge on this subject is different level so they difficult to catch
up from the lecture and they have not technical background of this subject.

4. Scene of training course
5. Summary evaluation of training course
We revised the training material and curriculum including much OJT on the site
and practice. So participants were interested in this training course. And it was
easy to understand for participants.
It was useful for participants to apply for the work at the field in their province
before making design and drawing of any irrigation system.
Before forgetting their knowledge that they could get in training, all participants
should try to use their knowledge.
TSC need translate textbook from English to Khmer.

In this training, we instructed how to design from main level irrigation system to
end level one by conducting a practice using Damnak Ampil model site. Like
this training method is useful for participants to understand what is important for
design.
This training course is very important to design a big project irrigation system,
but it is still difficult for TSC and PDWRAM staff. Each person should study
more by themselves. Especially TSC staff.
TSC will revise the curriculum of “Advanced Training Course of Design of
Irrigation Canals and Related Facilities” training course including the content
of this training course.

There is some difference in each trainee's ability such as PC skill and
experience. So, we need to provide opportunities of training continuously for
same PDWRAM staff who participated in this training course.
Some texts are written in English. So we need to translate to Khmer.
Many participants are lack of experience, because they don’t have so much
opportunity to survey in their province and they don’t have equipments for
survey. They should gain more experience by practice after taking this training
course.
