Concerts at Central Johnston Memorial Festival Concert Sunday, October 8, 2017 at 4 p.m. in the sanctuary. Haydn’s Harmoniemesse performed by the Central Moravian Church Festival Choir and Orchestra, Becky Lepore, organ soloist, and conducted by Maestro Donald Spieth. A Musical Christmas Extravaganza Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. Enjoy an 80 minute Christmas concert with The Mainstreet Brass, the Central Moravian Church Choir, and the glorious pipe organ. Music will include both sacred and secular Christmas music and feature the music of the early Moravians as well. Guests will leave with a traditional Moravian bees-wax candle and a sample of traditional Moravian Sugar Cake. Admission is $15. A German and English Advent Singstunde in the Chapel Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 7 p.m. Practice your German as you sing along to a wonderful variety of Advent hymns in this traditional Moravian song service. Maestro Donald Spieth

Central’s Director of MusicRebecca Lepore has been theDirector of Music and Organistat Central Moravian Churchsince 2002, is an adjunct facultymember at Moravian College,serves as the Organist andChoir Director of the Mora-vian Theological Seminary andis a former University Organistof Lehigh University. She waspreviously the Senior Organistat the nationally televised Coral Ridge PresbyterianChurch in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as well as an AssistantGrand Court Organist at the Wanamaker Organ inPhiladelphia, the largest playing organ in the world.Becky graduated with an Artist Diploma in organ per-formance from the world-renowned Curtis Institute ofMusic in Philadelphia, PA and received her Bachelor ofMusic degree, magna cum laude, from Moravian College.

In addition to her CDs recorded at Central MoravianChurch, Becky recorded three CDs with Tim Zimmer-man and the King’s Brass: The Best of Brass, Christmas inEurope, and Classic Hymns, and also recorded His Truth isMarching Onwith the Coral Ridge Presbyterian ChurchChoir. Becky is a published composer and has organworks published through Alfred Music Publications,MorningStar Music Publishers, and the Moravian MusicFoundation. Becky has most recently edited the newlyreleasedPraise and Thanksgiving: 275 Years ofMusic at Central Moravian Church.

The music committee, chaired by Llyena Boylan, overseesthe music program at Central Moravian Church in con-junction with the Director of Music and the Senior Pastor.
