DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, VINDHYANAGAR PROGRESS REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER 2019– 2020
CLASSES LKG TO II 4thNOVEMBER2019:
The school reopened after 10 days Diwali break.The children joined the school with their
beaming faces .They were excited to be back to their normal routine.
8th NOVEMBER2019:
English Recitation Competition was held . It was an open competitionin which around 240
children had participated in the first round. Five best children from each section were selected
for the second round . All the participants presented fabulous poems with significant
messages such as “Say No To Polybags”, “Green Is Clean”, “Unity Is strength”
11th NOVEMBER2019:
Winter timings were implemented . Charity week for Communal Harmony commenced.
14th NOVEMBER2019:
Children‟s Day was celebrated with great pomp and show. Our Principal Sir Dr. Janardan
Pandey was kind enough to grace the occasion.
All the teachers of Primary Wing had put up captivating programmes and enchanted the little
hearts of the young Dipsites.
The programme commenced with Ganesh Vandana followed by a mesmerizing skit in which
the teachers had enacted the actual scenario of children in different classes.The programme
concluded with a group dance by teachers.After the cultural programme , the children
enjoyed participating in the talent show which was open to all.Our Principal Sir was very
pleased to see the programme and appreciated the efforts made by the teachers and the
students.
18th NOVEMBER 2019:
Skill Tests for Evaluation II commenced.
19th NOVEMBER 2019:
Charity week for Communal Harmony concluded. Amount of Rupees 10,000 was donated by
the students and staff of PrimaryWing.
21stNOVEMBER 2019: Skill Tests concluded.
25thNOVEMBER 2019: Art Exam for Evaluation II was held.
HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH
On Children‟s Day, three rules were implementedand made compulsory for the health and
physical fitness of our children :
- Only healthy nutritional food to be brought in tiffin
- Four water breaks of 1 min. duration introduced. - Five minutes of rigorous exercise in the assembly everyday.

CLASS– LKG
The children rejoiced learning to match the numbers with the number names by playing a
game with a dart and magical words “AABRA KA DAABRA”.
CLASS– PREP
ENGLISH
The children made merry by doing activity “Spot The Word Hidden In The Letters” and thus
mastered their spellings.
MATHS
“Pick any 2 cups of different numerals.Add the 2 numerals and pick the cup corresponding to
the sum.”The children were thrilled to do this activity.
HINDI
The children had fun learning Matras through a game.
EVS
“Guess the helper by its tool”. The children were overjoyed enacting the role of different
helpers.
CLASS– I
ENGLISH
The children adored learning doing words through an activity.
HINDI
The children had great fun making colourful kites and then recited the poem “Sar sar Sar Udi
Patang”.
EVS
The whole class was divided into different helpers and the children were asked to dress like
different helpers. Each helper spoke few sentences about the kind of work they did.The
children were jubiliant doing the activity.
MATHS
The children were overjoyed to do the activity on “Data Handling”of different objects

Children enjoyed making greeting card with the help of different types of lines.
HINDI
The children had fun doing scrap book activity.

4th November , 2019 : Cultural Programe and Prize Distribution ceremony on the occasion of Vigilance Awareness
week was held on 4th November, 2019 at Russian Auditorium. NTPC Vindhyachal
conducted many competitions for the students to create awareness among the people and
students about eradicating corrupt practices prevailed in the society and the country. The
students of DPS Vindhyanagar bagged many prizes in the competitions. The result of the

11th November , 2019 : Education Day was celebrated with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm. Special Assembly was
conducted by III-B in which the students expressed their joy, enthusiasm in the form of PPT ,
Song, Dance, Quiz, Speech, etc. The Assembly was very meaningful, educative and
inspirational. It was enjoyed and appreciated by one and all present in the auditorium.
14th November , 2019: The school celebrated Children‟s day in a grand way. The students enjoyed throughout the
day. They had a lot of fun. Teachers presented a wonderful and stupendous programme for
them. The teachers performed dance, song and various cultural programmes to make this day
memorable for the students. The children also danced, played many games and took sweet
memories with them to their homes.
16th November , 2019: Inter House Athletic Competition was for the students of classes III-V. The students proved
their mettle and pace in the 100m and 50 m races . The result of the competition is as given

22nd November , 2019 : A wonderful and mesmerizing programme was put up by III-V students on the occasion of
closing ceremony of Communal Harmony . Class III presented a group song, Class IV a
dance and Class V presented a wonderful skit. It was indeed a fabulous, mesmerizing and
wonderful show. The students were praised for their wonderful performances and for
presenting by the Principal and all the teachers, parents present in the auditorium.
30th November , 2019 : A week long programme of FIT India was conducted in the school. A lot of activities were
conducted in the school to keep the students and teachers fit such as Yoga , Mass PT on
regular basis, games for the parents, students, etc. The closing ceremony of FIT INDIA was
held on 30th November, 2019 in which many parents also took part in traditional dresses .
They took part in many games held in the school actively and enthusiastically. They were
also given awards for being First, Second and Third in the various games and sports. It was
fun filled programme which was liked and enjoyed by one and all.

11Th NOV.’19-SCHOOL TIMINGS CHANGE:
The approach of winter with its cool morning hours force the school to begin late-8.30a.m. to
2.30p.m. A regular wellness programme has started in the school in which students spend an
hour in the morning either doing exercises or jogging,running etc. all for the sake of
warming-up.
13Th NOV.’19- DAAN UTSAV DISTRIBUTION DAY
All the donations made towards Daan Utsav which were new were sorted out , packed and
transported to a nearby school to be distributed among the havenots who come to Satellite
School to seek education. Our Honourable Principal sir , Teachers Daan Utsav catalysts and
other staff left for this school and distributed the entire stuff to the students who carried
home smiles for receiving new clothes, toys ,copies, shoes ,tiffin boxes, sweaters, blankets
etc. We returned with joy in our hearts for this gesture of ours.
14Th NOV.’19- ChILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION-
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru‟s birthday also known as Children‟s day was celebrated with all
grandeur. Students were permitted to wear dresses of their choice and teachers put up grand
shows for the students. Some sang,some even acted ,students and teachers danced , and even
students and teachers games were conducted. Students ,of course , had a fabulous day.
16Th NOV.’19-INTER-HOUSE PROP DANCE COMPETITION
Selected students from all Houses presented mesmerizing dances with props such as- ribbons,
caps , Indian flag etc.and were minutely judged by Choreographers from Vindhyanagar.They
danced to the tune of classical and semi-classical numbers and the graceful moves were
appreciated by all present there.

16Th NOV.’19- INTER- HOUSE BADMINTON COMPETITION(BOYS)
Badminton enthusiasts of our school let out their best foot forward in the court and played
their best matches.It was exciting and interesting to watch them play so well.There were
times when Houses were neck to neck but finally the match was won by Ravi House and
Ganges –runners up.Congratulation to both the teams.

16th NOV.’19- INTER-HOUSE CULTURAL HERITAGE OF INDIA COMPETITION Mini-India seemed to have been staged as each House students came up with state-wise
fabulous presentation and left the audience speechless. The culture of food, dress, tribes,
language and festivals etc. were presented in vibrant colours and different shades. Judges
were finding it difficult as all were amazing. The state of Chattisgarh bagged the first
position followed by Bihar in the second place and third position was bagged by two states-
Assam and Tamil Nadu.

19Th NOV.’19 –SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON COMMUNAL HARMONY
An extraordinarily prepared assembly began with ardent prayer to the Almighty as well as a
deep focus on National Integration .Students presented skit ,speeches, poem, dance and PPT
which were absolutely excellent and worth-watching.They sensitized all present there of the
need to foster Communal Harmony in the society.The entire assembly was appreciated by
one and all.
20Th NOV.’19- 21ST NOV.’19-FLAG STICKERS CONTRIBUTION
Flag stickers provided an easier platform for awareness of this movement and Principal,
teachers, students and parents generously contributed for this cause. The schools entire
collection through the sale of Communal Harmony stickers was Rs. 26,860.00. DPS(V)
family thanks one and all for this .
22ND NOV.’19- COMPETITIONS HELD
PAINTING COMPETITION
Enthusiasts of our school participated in the painting competition held for students of classes
VI to VIII.
They exhibited their ideas on the theme‟ UNITY IN DIVERSITY‟ in an excellent manner
through colours and writings.Around 80 students participated and the result is as follows:-

Fine debaters of the school who had been seleted to speak for or aganst the topic “ Peer
pressure is” were all set to make their stand on the stage. The topic being interesting, strong
argument took place and the audience felt it enthralling to have been a part of it. The result is

26Th NOV.’!9-FLAG DAY CELEBRATED
Students were made aware of the importance of Flag Day and also many displays and
speeches of students and Guest of the day widened the thoughts of all present there on the
need of peace and oneness in the society.Secularism that exists in society needs to be
strengthened and focus was also on harmonious living .
26Th NOV.’19- FIT INDIA WEEK BEGINS
The school celebrated „FIT INDIA WEEK‟ from 26th Nov.‟19 to 30th Nov.‟19 to bring
about awareness among the students , teachers and stakeholders of the need for healthy living
with fitness and wellness.
It was a week long intensive programme comprising of Yoga, Aerobics, Zumba etc. and even
various competitions which held the interest of the students.
COMPETITIVE EXAMINATIONS-
The school conducted various National , International and online competitions such as –
NSO, ISSO,IRAO, ABHO ,IOM, SKGKO,SPELLBEE KAMP,BRICSMATHS and
ARYABHATTA GANIT CHALLENGE. In each around 60 to 80 students took part.

2.11.19 - I/H - Kabbaddi girls
An Inter House House Kabbaddi competition was conducted in which Yamuna House stood
first and Jhelum stood second.
5.11.19 - Special Assembly
A special Assembly by Yamuna House was conducted on the topic of Patriots.
6.11.19 - 8. 11.19 : Inter School Cricket Tournament - School Cricket team under the
captainship of Vishal Choudhary participated in the tournament and demonstrated their best
sporting skills.
8.11.19 - I/H Wall Magazine Competition
An Inter House Wall Magazine Competition was conducted for classes 9 - 12. The theme was
Sardar Patel's dream : Repeal of article 370. Ranks of the Houses were as follow :

14.11.19- Children's day
A well chalked out plan was conducted to celebrate Children's day. Morning Assembly
followed by different races for girls and boys of classes 9 - 12 we're organized. Cricket T-5 -
teachers versus students council was organized which wound up in many prizes for children.
A short cultural program was also performed by the teachers. Bollywood patriotic movie '
Uri' was shown in the auditorium. All the students were given chocolates by the school.
16.11.19 - I/H Science Model Competition
An Inter House Science Model Competition was conducted. The participants were allowed to
make working models only. The results were as follow :
First rank was grabbed by Jhelum House
Second rank was secured by Chenab House
Third by Ravi, forth by Satluj, fifth by Ganges and sixth by Yamuna House.
19.11.19 - 26.11.19 - Communal Harmony week was observed entailing many
competition for students. To raise funds for army welfare students were given tickets and
from each class a good amount of fund was generated. Poster making and essay writing
Competition was organized. The winners were felicitated with school's merit cerificates.
23.11.19 : I/H Debate Competion
I/H Debate Competion was held for classes 9- 10 . The topic was ' Organ Donation should be
promoted more' and speakers were to speak either for or against. The results were as follow :

25.11.19 - 30.11.19 - FIT INDIA CAMPAIGN
A special Assembly was conducted to inaugurate the Campaign. Each day was designed
according to the guidelines sent by CBSE.
26.11.19 - FIT INDIA SKIT AND SPL. LECTURE- Skit regarding the App ' Khelo India'
was presented by the students of class 11th. Dr. Vijaya Murti as special. Guest delivered a
lecture about how to keep mentally and physically fit.
26.11.19 Constitution Day
Special Assembly for Constitution Day was conducted in which The Preamble was read by
the head master Mr. l. N. Sharan and repeated by the students. Many facts regarding the same
were disipated.
27.11.19 - Poster Making Competition
The competition was conducted for classes 6-8 on the theme of Fit Body - Fit Mind
28. 11.19 Essay Writing Competition was conducted on the topic 'Fit India School'
in which classes 9,10,&11 participated.
29.11.19 - Sports Quiz
Fitness Sports Quiz was conducted for all the students. It was divided into three segments : 3-
5 , 6-8 & 11& 12
29.11.19 Special Assembly
A special Assembly was conducted by Science Department to signify the significance of
science and its wonders.
Skit, chemical reactions and quiz were the center of attraction.
30 11.19 : Closing Ceremony
The parents of students from 3-5 were invited to be active part of the ceremony.
Stop at count, Chocolate race run and 4-square etc. many games were organized for the
parents.
For students langadi taang, poshan pa, zumba and tug-of-were , organized. The Principal
cheered the students and and encouraged them to stay fit.
