EXPERIENCES 2009-2010
Aim of the project:
• More transparent system of public services provided by local governments• Encourage local government developments• Strenghtening the local democracy• Supporting equal opportunities for all at local level• Establishing local governmental capacity-building system in Hungary
Partners: Budapesti Corvinus University Faculty of Public Administration (BCE KIK) Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities (KS)
Elements of the project:
• Establishing Mayors Academy, creating the training system, piloting the training
• Local governmental bench-learning program (in special professional topics: education on local level, social care, health care, and geotermical energy)
• Training of the Councils of the Local Governments (Councilor Training Program)

10 month length training, two days per month
- Education for theoretical training- Practical knowledge transfer with many examples- Interactive tranings
In July 2010 62 Mayors successfully closed the training
10 professional education material (books) were made

• „I was elected as a Mayor” intensive basic course
• TÖOSZ- Mayors training with diploma
• Expanding the knowledge modules for local governmental leaders

Method of the training:
Two days long intensive basic training, than annual one day program if they need.
