Participation requirements:

Participants should be individuals interested in Substance Abuse Prevention Ethics.This training fulfills the six hour Substance Abuse Prevention Ethics requirement for theMCBAP certifications, CPS and CPC.

Learning objectives:

Understand the distinctions between ethics and values Be familiar with the 12 Principals of Prevention Ethics Be introduced to an ethical decision making model Participate in discussion of case studies that have ethical implications

Our trainer, Jeanne Knopf DeRoche, is thefounding principal of The Knopf Company, Inc,a Plymouth, Michigan training and consultingfirm specializing in substance abuseprevention. For the past 21 years, she hasmanaged the Substance Abuse Prevention andTraining efforts in Out-Wayne and MonroeCounties, Michigan under contract with

Southeastern Michigan Community Alliance,the local coordinating agency for the Bureau ofSubstance Abuse and Addiction Services. Thisproject has provided training and technicalassistance on substance abuse, tobacco andviolence prevention to more than forty schooldistricts and numerous community serviceand mental health agencies.
