Submission Guidelines
Submission Guidelines•All submissions must be completed and uploaded to the Chambers Diversity Submissions page(http://diversitysubmissions.chambersandpartners.com/) by Friday, 6th May, 2016. ChambersDiversitywillnotacceptanysubmissionsafterthistime.
•Allsubmissionsmustbenolongerthan1,500 words, per category.Anycontentbeyond1,500wordswillnotbeassessed.
•Submissionsare invited thatcoverone, someorallaspectsofdiversity; to includeage, faith, social mobility, gender, disabilities, sexual orientation and ethnicity.
• Judges’decisionsarefinalandawardswillbemadeattheirdiscretion.Additionalcommendationsmaybemadeatthejudges’discretion.
•Submissionsmustrelatetoactivitiesorinitiativesconductedintheprevious12 months.
•You/yourfirmmayonlymakeone submission per category.
•Youmaynominateyourself/yourownorganisationoranotherindividual/organisation.
•Eachlawfirmthatmakesasubmissionmustalso nominate at least one client.
•Assessmentwillbebasedonthefollowingfactors:
» Breadth:thedegreetowhichtheinitiativespanneddifferentjurisdictions,practiceareas,strandsofdiversityandcareerprogression
» Commitment:thedegreetowhichtheinitiativewentbeyondnormalpracticeandworkremit/thepercentageofindividualsatthefirmwhowereinvolved
» Impact:thedegreetowhichindividuals,thefirmand/orthecommunityatlargeispositivelyaffected
» Advancement: the degree to which the work advanced diversity and inclusion (statistics forcomparisonwouldbeusefulhere)
» Originality:thedegreetowhichtheworkinvolvedinnovativeprogrammesandstructuresortackledissuesthathadnotpreviouslybeenforemostinthefirm/individualsremit
•Entrantswillbedeemedtohaveacceptedtheserulesandproceduresandtohaveagreedtobeboundbythemwhenenteringthiscompetition.
•Eachsubmissionmustincludethefollowinginformation:
