Fifteen 15 planning masters on the DELTA program remain that need TCA removedfrom them . Fourteen ( 14) of the 15 are driven by needed drawing changes . Halfare being driven by ME&T activity which should be complete within the next 2weeks .

The ELV goal is to have all ME &T actions complete by 9/08 , all drawing changescomplete by 9/22, and all remaining planning masters modified by 9/29 . Thiswould eliminate all TCA usage in house for the DELTA program .

No actions were completed in the week ending 9/01 . This puts additional pressureon all functions to be very productive in the first 10 days of September . Pleasereview this letter carefully to make sure that you are aware of assigned actions andthe associated ECD's . Thanks .

As a reminder, this list is sorted first by Workcenter, and then by Program ; D=Delta, C-Common between Deltaand Atlas, V=Vernier (Delta), AS= Atlas Sustainer unique, and AB= Atlas Booster unique .

The heavily shaded listed parts have had TCA removed from the associated planning documents . The lightly

shaded listed parts are Atlas-specific planning masters and due to the nea rterm completion of the program, will notnot be addressed until funding becomes available from the pending follow-on contract .

THE RAOI 10-004 Fine Clean Specification and most of its associated RPO's and MPP's have been changed to

substitute an aqueous solvent in place of TCA . Since the text of each document was all that was changed,

associated planning and engineering documents will not need to be modified . It has been identified by MTSpersonnel that certain ducts and tubes cleaned to MPPRA 1110-014 and RPOAD-0041 will require tooling plates for

attachment to the new fine clean facility . This list has been provided to each Workcenter manager for review .

Again, in many cases, the parts listed are Atlas and should not require action since all requirements are projected to

be complete by end of summer . D/425 in particular should evaluate the list against requirements that may notbe through the fine clean operation by end of 1995 .

Manufacturing, Engineering, and Cost personnel should keep this list as reference as we enter the proposal phase of

the Atlas follow-on contract . Evaluate the scope of work needed to change affected documents and include that

information in the scope of start-up activities .
