  IOM  Azerbaijan  continues  its  collaboration  with  Youth  Houses  under  the‘Public Action for Resilience’ (PAR) Activity, funded by the United States Agencyfor International Development (USAID). The activity considers training for staffmembers  of  Youth  Houses  to  increase  awareness  on  working  with  youthvulnerable  to  influences  of  violent  extremism  and  radicalization.  To  thispurpose, a special toolkit “Liaisons: A toolkit for preventing violent extremismthrough  youth  information”,  developed  by  the  European  Youth  Informationand  Counselling  Agency  (ERYICA),  has  been  translated  into  Azerbaijani  andpublished.

IOM  Azerbaijan  has  completed  renovation  to  the  shelter  of  AzerbaijanChildren  Union  and  provided  school  equipment  and  stationery  for  thechildren  living  in  the  shelter.  By  undertaking  repair  works,  IOM  has  alreadyimproved living conditions on some shelters in the capital and regions of thecountry. READ MORE

IOM  Azerbaijan  held  API/PNR  Inter-Institutional  Working  Group’s  (IIWG)  first  meeting  within  theproject  “Enhancing  Passenger  Processing  Capacities  in  Azerbaijan  In  Line  With  International  BestPractices  and  Standards”.  The  meeting  was  attended  by  State  Border  Service,  State  CustomsCommittee,  State  Migration  Service,  State  Security  Service,  Ministry  of  Foreign  Affairs,  Ministry  ofInternal Affairs. The meeting focused on understanding the components of the project, acquaintanceof IIWG members and discussions on the way forward. READ MORE
