I took many materials in this project from my travel to Europe, such as newspaper, postcards, tickets, maps and pictures, intending to create an original image of Europe.

The project is presented in a form of publication, which combining the design of headline of newspaper and magazine with enlarged layout (which was normally in A4 size (21x29cm)) and less pags.

INTRO

The cover story is about an imaginative travel in Europe. The model striking a medatative pose wearing navy clothes, which is the fashion of 2010, combing with the background of European maps and flags, it creates an European leisurely style.

The inner pages based on the graphic design concept, with thorough consideration of the setting, clothes and modeling, are seperately presented in an idle style, an air of leisure on the street and a rhythm of dancing.

About PHOTOS

After a flight with a little bit of vacation and ocean style, she reaches the train station that she saw in a book last week. She puts on the lipstick of CHANEL, takes a BALENCIAGA bag, having an Britian afternoon tea. After it, she passes by a women in KENZO dress at the street of London. “Where to go next?” She ponders. Taking a look at the LONGINES watch, she decides to go to Spain. There she can purchase a Mango dress for the dance party of next week and a sport shoes for her world-cup-freak boyfriend. “He will look terrific in that lambskin-leather jacket!...Oh, the lamp in the living room doesn’t work. I don’t want it anymore. Tolomeo Mega in the Italian show window will be perfect!...Well, it’s getting dark. A bottle of French Boredaux red wine will be a good choice for this wonderful night!”

The story begins with a woman piecing up a fanciful travel in Europe.

This collection gathers spring dresses of each brand in SOGO and emphasizes on the style of the indiviual brand.

With the simple and powerful modelings, the design is displayed the idea of Modern Chic in a crisp way.

Clothes were supplied by the manufacturers. According to the needs of different graphic, I took over the whole modeling and poses of the models.

Main concept

The dress is unique enough to be presented in a normal way of DM photography. The focus is the LIGHT AND SHADOW.

One component of this page is the runway walking in a light style to express the HARMONY.

The high heels are extremely high to make a RIGHT ANGLE with her kness.

With the outstanding colors and collar design, the model occupies the whole graphic to emphasize on the EXPRESSION in her eyes.

Her leisure pose fits in the space at this corner to express the obvious ELEGANCE.

She wears floppy pants and fitted leather jacket. The strong contrary of the materials with the remarkable pose are intended to express the PROPORTION.

Her arms was accidentally placed in the clothes when she and I were playing. The intentional bending of the body make an obvious CURVE.

With a background in dance, she was chosen to show the BALANCE from the swirling movements of her long legs.

Different from the clamorous impression of Chinese New Year, the model holds a fan to cover most of her face to show the demureness. Pure and elegant white dress, which is the design of a Taiwanese designer,HUANG SHU CHI, with traditional Chinese lanterns in modern colors, the image reveals joyful holiday atmosphere and yet modest fashion.

Outstanding component with modest items can display a grand impression. Using contrary styles to make conflict is my way to solve the struggle between tradition and modern cultures. Simply, the harmony of the contrary components makes the conception more profound.

It would be terrific if there could be an image combing the blessing and celebration meaning of gifts, and it also would make exquisite items look majestic.

One day, I saw a story on TV about the champagne tower. Suddenly, a flash of the champagne glasses and tiny, pretty gift boxes came upon me. The image was majectic and delicate! Based on this idea, with twinkling lights as the background and the several vivid snow angels alongside, it created a theme of X’MAS GIFTS.

The collection is divided into 3 units-accesorries, watches, and bags. In the flypages of each unit, candies were sprayed out on the floor, arranged in an outline of each item.

As a child, we are mostly delighted when getting candies from our parents. As getting older, we continually receive a variety of presents from other people. Thus, on this special Christmas Day, don’t forget that pure delight in childhood!

Bags are also divided into two parts, brands(p25-30) and men’s and women’s bags. Snow angels delievering gifts is the rough concept of the brand part. It develops into an idea that each bag is placed into single wooden box to make the delivery concept completed.

Women's bags(p31-33) are placed on the Acrylic board and photographed against the light., matching up the theme of candies in the flypages. The whole design concludes with men’s bags(p34) in calming colors as an ending of a party.
