Looking at titanium its all about invincibility, isolation and strength and this is represented throughout the video. The song is edited throughout to the sound of the track. It follows the codes and conventions of pop music. This follows all her videos.

Rap Eminem

Eminem rap legend music that changed from money and misogyny to meaningful motivational music. But one this that hasn’t changed is his video. Throughout every video there is an element of performance and a background narrative. The video closely cut to the beat of the song which seems to be key in rap videos.

Rock Bad Omens

Bad Omens are prime examples of your typical rock videos. They have the band playing performing throughout giving them majority attention in their ambient surroundings. There are elements of performance sliced in occasionally but this doesn’t take away from the band. The majority of the attention goes on to the man singer though but the whole band is shown

Live Performance BMTH Avalanche

Prime example of live performance video. Avalanche is a tour video so it slices in videos of their performance together. E4diting in the band the background graphics the gear everything to really push the bands image to the forefront of the music video.

Do I wanna know is a classic piece of animation. So basic but so effective in portraying the song. The animation was used as a running theme on the album cover and became an icon piece of work who represented the bank.

Narrative Skrillex Bangarang

This an extremely good example of narrative. The story follows 3 youths as they go for their first robbery (an ice cream van) however it doesn’t go to plan and decapitate an ice cream mans arm. It then follows them to when they are older and they are robbing a bank. The video ends on of the member's giving a cut of the robbed money to the ice cream man.

Pastiche WCAR I Knew You Were Trouble

Pop goes punk an album that’s made annually to get those classic pop song and make they heavy hitter. In 2014 Taylor Swift's I knew you were trouble was transformed by We Came As Romans. They took their take on the video by keeping a lot of similarities such as showing the girl who walked out etc. and slicing in performances in the video. They also kept a the same story to Taylor's.

Parody

The internet is full of parody video an these are far and from between. The often are used to mimic the original song however mocking the original artist. They often follow similar styles to the original video however have a few humorous differences.

Surreal Slipknot Vermillion

Vermillion is an eerily creepy video. All about a girl who is trying to find herself in a lonely world and eventually follows the band masking herself and joining them. The uses of time lapse is amazing showing how she struggles to grip reality and showing how she’s almost a ghost to society.

Cutting to the beat White Stripes Hardest Button to Button

This is a brilliant song that cuts to the beat. The frame changes on the bas and this is consistent throughout the whole video. This white stripes are iconic for this types of editing, is has been shown to represent them when they make guest appearances in TV shows such as Simpsons.
