Styles and techniques.

In-Concert ‘Live FootageIn-concert and ‘as live’ footage. I think that people like this sort of genre of music video’s some people cannot afford to go and see their favourite artists but with this genre we can see what the band is like ‘live’. This experience is very close in the age of 2016 due to virtual reality. 

In this live convert Katy Perry is singing her latest song, she moves a lot during the concert to get the audience pumping.

There's also a lot of camera movement during the concert. There's a crane shot to get the audience in the camera, and single camera shot to Katy Perry

Animation (stop motion, Digital). Some videos are animated to get their point across differently, people may watch this as a parody message or some thing more serious. You can see what the artist wanted to portray he made sure the story was told in the best way possible through this animation.

Parody (It is created to Mock. It’s soul aim is to make fun of an original piece of work through either the subject matter, the author or the style) Weird al yankovic – This video is a parody, not just for the video, but for the song. The song is keeping the same tune and style as the original song but changing the lyrics and making it more funky and comical.This makes music videos more entertaining. Adding a bit of comedy to this.

''Dani California'' by Red Hot Chili Peppers is impressionist as throughout the music video, all members of the band are dressing up as different artists from over the years such as, The Beatles, Prince and Kiss. At the end of the video the video ends with the band starring as themselves on the stage. the video is a quasi-chronology of the evolution of rock music; the band performs the song on a stage, but in a variety of outfits representing important figures and movements in the history of rock.

This kind of music is very different because it makes the audience feel disorientated.

Techniques

Cutting To The Beat

Cutting to the beat Is a video editing technique where editors change shot (cut) on the beat of the song. It helps to create rhythm

and pace in the song.

This is used to make sure the audience are engaged immediately so their attention doesn’t stray away from the video.

This kind of video editing is very effective.

Miming & Lip Sync – Zayn Malik - Pillow talk

Lip sync is a technical term for matching lip movements with prerecorded sung or spoken vocals that the listeners hear. Every music is lip synced now. They first sing in the studio afterwards they film the video.
