Established by Henning Schmidt in 2002, FSI power-tech aps develops and manufactures stump cutters. This has been the company’s key competency since its foundation, and it has built up extensive know-how and expertise in the mechanical challenges involved in cutting tree stumps.

From its factory in Ølholm near Tørring in central Jutland, the company services all of its customers and dealers in Denmark, and importers from a large number of countries in Europe. The company also exports to other countries around the world, including America, Australia and New Zealand.

FSI stump cutters are aimed at professional users, who are primarily landscape gardeners, tree felling companies, developers, hire companies, municipalities, housing associations and similar companies with activities in the green sector.

FSI ensures the high quality of all of its products by carrying out quality assurance and testing on all of its stump cutters before they are shipped.

Tree stump cutting timesIn collaboration with some of our customers, we have devised an overview of the time taken to cut up three different diameters of tree stumps. The figures are based on the cutting of a tree stump that is 15 cm high and which extends for 15 cm below the ground. The times stated in the table can vary depending on the tree species, the age of the stump, the machine operator and the power of the actual tool carrier.

TRIPLEX Teeth SystemEvery FSI stump cutter is equipped with TRIPLEX cutting teeth. The teeth are round and during operation the wearing surface covers about 120 degrees, so the teeth can be rotated three times before they have to be replaced. The teeth are fitted using a single nut.

The teeth are fitted in holders made from durable cast steel. The holders are fixed on the cutter wheel so that adjustments are not necessary when replacing teeth or holders. For increased capacity, the holders are fitted in a staggered system on the disc, so that each tooth cuts its own track.

Power clutchPower clutch, the clutch between the engine and the cutter wheel is a strong and unique hydraulic clutch with integrated break. The clutch engages smoothly and efficiently, with 4 x cylinders and when the clutch is disengaged, the break activates automatically.

Towable stump cutter with petrol engineB20 is a compact and balanced stump cutter that can be used to cut up all types of tree stumps.

The pivot joint between the stump cutter and the chassis ensures easy and smooth cutting, even under difficult conditions.

The brakes can be applied individually to each wheel, so the ma-chine can easily access the stump even if there are shavings in the way. The individual brakes can also be used to negotiate steps with ease.

Extra equipmentDrawbar for ball and socket coupling, for transport up to 10 km/h. Not permitted on public roads.

Hour counter with alarm for every 25 hours for lubrication and for every 100 hours for oil change. Can be retrofitted.

Special colour instead of the original FSI red. Extra delivery time shall be expected.

B22Engine

Stump cutter with 2WD and petrol engine

FSI B22 is a new stump cutter that combines the many areas of application of the B20 but which is also self-propelled, so that moving over uneven terrain is much easier, and especially when loading or unloading from a trailer. Hydraulic wheel drive, speed and forward/reverse are controlled from the handlebar. A free-running feature ensures that the machine can be moved without having to start the engine.

A swivel joint between the stump cutter and the chassis ensures an easy and smooth swing movement for the stump cutter, without the wheels having to be moved. This ensures fast and efficient stump cutting, even on inclined or uneven surfaces.

Extra equipment

Hour counter with alarm for every 25 hours for lubrication, and for every 100 hours for oil change. Can be retrofitted.

D30Engine

D30: Stump cutter with 2WD and diesel engine

FSI D30 is for serious users who use a stump cutter regularly in their work. The diesel engine provides high performance capacity and excellent operating efficiency.

All operations, including movement and actual stump cutting, are controlled via the integrated control panel. The control panel can be used to engage/disengage the differential lock as well as to adjust the speed of the swing movement.

D30 TRACK: Stump cutters on tracks with diesel motor

FSI D30 TRACK is the well-known D30 stump cutter which is equipped with tracks instead of wheels. It is aimed at serious users who often work in very inaccessible terrain. The diesel engine provides high performance capacity and excellent operating efficiency.

All machine operation is executed via the rotatable control panel, so the operator can stand behind the machine during operation and move towards the work site, and the control panel can be turned during stump cutting, providing a good overview of the stump during the stump cutting process. The speed of swing movement can also be controlled from the control panel.


D30 TRACK REMOTE

The same as the D30 TRACK but equipped with complete radio remote control of all of the functions.

D42Engine

D42: Stump cutter with 4WD and diesel engine

FSI D42 is a stump cutter for tasks that require much more mobility on terrain. This, together with the cutting width of 1700 mm and the powerful diesel engine with 42 HP and 133 Nm torque at 1500 rpm results in a very powerful stump cutter.

4-wheel drive with skid-steer tyres ensures less wear from tyres on grass and effective grip when required.

D42 REMOTE: Stump cutter with remote control, 4WD and diesel engine

As with the D42 but with complete radio control where all of the operations for driving and cutting are radio controlled. A battery charger with an extra battery for the radio and cable for direct connection are included.

D74 REMOTE: Stump cutter with remote control, 4WD and diesel engineFSI D74 REMOTE is for the professional user, where stump cutting forms a major part of their daily work.

The powerful 74 HP diesel engine with an impressive torque of 300 Nm at 1500 rpm, the large 720 mm cutter wheel and a working width of 2 m means this machine has incredible capacity. Together with the 4-wheel drive and radio remote control, the D74 Remote is your ideal partner for cutting tree stumps.

All movement and stump cutting operations are controlled via the

radio remote control. The battery charger with an extra battery for the radio and cable for direct connection is included.

The machine is also equipped with an autopilot swing function for optimum cutting capacity. The autopilot adjusts the swing speed based on the engine load. The autopilot optimises capacity and makes it simpler to operate the machine.

Stump cutters for hydraulicsHydraulically driven stump cutter for fitting to an excavator or similar machine, where the machine itself is used to make the swing and up/down movement.

Free choice of cutting direction. The cutting direction can easily be set at 45 degree intervals, in the joint between the unit and the fitting plate for the tool attachment.

The units are supplied with an uncoated top plate, on which an optional tool attachment can be fitted. We also provide a selection of tool attachments.

The machines require a depressurised return to the tank (leak oil).

FSI stump cutters for fitting on tractors with PTOWe provide three strong models in the series of stump cutters designed for using with tractors or similar machines with PTO and 3-point linkage.

The three sizes are adapted for three different classes of tractor for maximum utilisation and efficiency. Operation is executed using the accompanying joystick, which is either fitted on the frame or on another location as required using the bracket supplied.
