Why should you study abroad?

-After studying abroad you will discover that you have developed both personally and professionally.

-You will become more independent and get a unique insight into, and knowledge of, the language and culture of the country you have been studying in.

-8/10 of the people believed that a study abroad experience was an important factor for overseas job placement within their companies.

How can you study abroad?

- The first thing to do if you want to study abroad is getting well informed.

- Once you have decided the country you want to study in, you have to inform about the rules of that country to enter universities.

- There is an interesting website, studyabroad.com. There you can choose a country, subject and program type. And then it shows you the possibilities you have.

Studying abroad programmes

There are many programmes that help you studying abroad.

1) ERASMUS PROGRAMME: it allows european students from universities to study for atleast three months in some foreign university in Europe; this is not expensive because European Union gives funds to students.

2) LEONARDO PROGRAMME: it gives scolarships to study abroad, supporting actions in initial and continuing vocational education and training (including student and apprentice exchanges, cooperation between colleges, etc.)

3) THE TRANSVERSAL PROGRAMME: it covers activities in four themed areas across all sectors of education and training: policy cooperation and innovation in education and training; foreign language teaching; development of ICT-based content and services, such as Euroguidance and Ploteus.

The goal of exchange programmes like erasmus is to get european people more familiar with other languages and cultures
