GETTING AROUND

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

PROGRAM ENGLISH ACADEMIC

Undergraduate Direct entry: Minimum official score of TOEFL iBT 75 or IELTS 6.0

GPA 2.0-2.5

Graduate Direct entry to most programs: TOEFL iBT 79 or IELTS 6.5

GPA 3.0 for most graduate programs; 2.75 for most Education programs; 2.5 for most other programs.

Graduate admission tests/documentation

GMAT or GRE for MBA, M.S. Accounting, M.S. Human Resource Management.

GRE for Public Health MPH.

Writing sample for M.F.A. Creative Writing, M.A. English, M.F.A Writing and Production for Television, M.A. English.

REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION

You will need to send us a completed

application form, signed parent/guardian

agreement, full transcripts of all qualifications,

including certificate or diploma of school

leaving, student essay, bank statement,

photocopy of passport, TOEFL/IELTS certificate

(if applicable), and photocopy of current I-20

(if applicable).

All applicants · Complete and accurate application form, including intended degree program, email address and telephone number

· Scanned copy or original recent bank document (within three months) translated into English, indicating sufficient funds

· Copy of the identification pages of your passport · Copy of your current I-20 and visa, if applicable · Scanned copy of official test scores from an English Language Test such as IELTS, TOEFL iBT

· Original or official academic records are required prior to or upon arrival at Long Island University

Additional undergraduate requirements · Personal statement · Two recommendation letters · Scanned, certified, full transcripts of all your qualifications, translated into English with the translation authenticated

· Scanned copy of official proof of graduation, translated into English with the translation authenticated

Additional graduate requirements* · Official external credential evaluation report required for students with three year degrees, Nursing majors and transfer students. Contact the LIU Admissions Manager for assistance with this process

· Scanned copy of official GRE/GMAT score, if applicable · Detailed resume or CV
