Nutrition & The Mediterranean Diet Dubrovnik, Croaa RIT Faculty-Led Program Spring Course/Summer Travel Students will study the Mediterranean diet and culture through a tradional RIT campus spring semester class that culminates in a week long study tour to Dubrovnik, Croaa in May. During the Rochester based classroom experience students will learn about the countries that have had the largest influence on the Mediterranean diet, prepare typical foods and prepare for trip to Croaa. While in Dubrovnik, the students will parcipate in guest lectures, demonstraons and tours regarding agriculture, cuisine, history and culture of the region of the Dalmaan coast. DIS Copenhagen, Denmark Affiliate Program through DIS Semester, Summer Denmark is known globally for innovave thinking and high quality medical research and is home to the Medicon Valley, a compeve life science cluster that aracts many successful companies to the region. In addion to classroom based learning and research, students also have the opportunity to visit sites and meet with experts in the field through program study tours. Coursework available in: Biomedicine Medical Pracce & Policy Neuroscience Public Health Highlighted Programs Claire Finnerty Biomedical Sciences and Public Policy Rwanda: Global Issues & Geographic Innovaon Intersession 2016 “I chose to study abroad because I've always had a desire to travel to Africa and help others. I am interested in geng my master's in Public Health as well as joining the Peace Corps so it was a great way to dip my foot in the water. On the program, we used geographic informaon systems to map the refugee camp which is a great tool that I may use in future work. This was the first me I have traveled outside of the United States and it really opened my eyes up to new culture.” Planning ahead is important. It is suggested to plan between six months to one year in advance to ensure proper academic, financial and applicaon planning.
