Students Imbibe Qualities of Patriotism during a speech delivered by

Mr. JayaPrakash Rao.

It is said, “If you wish to be the best, learn from the best”. In order to instill the

students of JSSPS with the spirit of patriotism in this era, miles away from home,

the management organized a speech to be delivered by none other than the

former regional PRO for the DRDO Bangalore Mr. Jayaprakash Rao, on November

21st 2018.

Mr. J.P. Rao has translated the former president Dr.APJ Kalam’s autobiography,

“Wings of Fire” into Kannada.

Inspiring young minds about the achievements of the great man, Dr Kalam his

speech was geared towards instilling children with patriotism and a feeling to do

what they can do in their little ways to work for India.

His style of delivery was simple yet effective. The audience sat enthralled

throughout his speech and responded with positive vigor and eagerness to all his

calls for a shout-out for our motherland, India.

The gentleman used Kalam as an inspiration to ignite young minds on their path

to “working for India” and he explained

the theory of “Brain Drain” to the

captivated listeners in the most child

friendly language. It is a theory where the

best brains , who acquire degrees from

Indian educational institutes move abroad

to work in foreign countries, thereby

working for other countries rather than

for India.

Students were encouraged to not allow the brain drain to continue. They were

encouraged to love their country and do their bit to show that love. It was a

speech that children will definitely not forget in many years to come.
